Look, I’ve been playing D2 almost since it’s original launch, and this remaster is exactly what I wanted. I’m loving it… however… the game crashes so often it’s insane. No matter what I’m doing, it will crash to desktop. It crashes during gameplay. It crashes during loading screens. It crashes when I’m afk sitting in the lobby and go to grab a drink from the fridge. It crashes when I’m playing solo, it crashes when I’m in a pug. It’s a complete mess and I’m probably just gonna shelve this one until the ladder starts in the hopes that they will have worked some of these issues out by then. I don’t even want a refund. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me seven-hundred-thousand times, shame on me. You win this round, Blizzard…

I’m right there with you. I truly enjoy the original and I was excited to play it when it came back last month, but the reason I stop each game session when i do is usually because the game crashed - not because I wanted to end it.
I just tried to start a game twice, and neither of those made it past the loading screen.
I can’t think of another industry where this type of performance would not result in a company going bankrupt.

same things happens to me. i play alot like ALOT about 8+ hours a day since launch and i get at least 20-30 maybe even more per day. for no reason just random crashes.

Seen a Ist on ground other night in sanctuary then guess what…yep.
Then I go to rejoin the game & it said Game does not exist when my friend was still in the game. Its only lucky he was still there and grabbed it but two bugs right there.
How does crashing from a game then you go to rejoin it and it dont exist like wth. Blizzard servers are so screwed up at moment and add all the crashes.
But don’t worry they are working on it…or are they? no posts about it.
This is the type of thing I worry about too. What if I get a crazy drop and the game just crashes? Normally I’d call BS on a claim like this but the crashes happen so often for me that I don’t doubt that it has happened. Don’t get me started… It’s so sensitive that if you do even the most basic thing “wrong” you are liable to encounter an issue. Another example is if I try to make a game but a game with the same name already exists, I get locked out of creating a game for a short time, with an error message saying something like “encountered an error connecting to game servers, please try again later”.
Some of these issues didn’t even exist in the original game. You’d think a remaster would at bare minimum improve upon the original, but this one seems to have introduced more issues instead.
It’s gotten to the point, that I leave snarky messages in the text box that’s there to tell them what you were doing.

If a ladder season is actually released, I’d be shocked. Nothing about what I’ve experienced with this game leads me to believe we’re working with competent people who care. I’m 98% sure we’re looking at a WC3 copy, which is still waiting for its first ladder season since Jan. 28th 2020.

LOL I do the same! It’s not even that I’m doing it intentionally, it just that my mood gets so sour from multiple crashes and then it happens again when I’m doing something super basic like taking a waypoint and the game hard crashes to desktop and I’m instantly presented with a dialogue box to tell them what I did wrong… I literally have no answer that wouldn’t come off as snarky. “What were you doing when the crash happened?” Uhh, literally just clicked on a town portal… I feel like a jerk even filling the thing out. Like, when anything at all can cause a crash, it’s impossible not to come off as snarky when filling out a crash report /shrug
I’m not even worried about ladder at this point. Just a stable game, a return to regional lobbies so I can see and chat with people in my country not just the spambots, and the ability to /f m everyone - also a “so and so just created game blabla12” would be awesome.
The only things stopping this remaster from perfection are these crashes and improvements to the lobby browser
game crashes frequently and the worst for me it restarts my computer on crash. i could deal with crash to main screen or log in, but crashing and restart i’m done until they fix it

This is so weird to me, I don’t doubt you understand, but I’ve been playing 6 hours now and not one crash. I keep seeing these posts and I’m like damn dude I feel for you.

Same, I’ve only had 1 crash since launch day.
I don’t doubt that there are a lot of issues for people and from what I’ve casually seen it seems to be people running XX80 and XX90 cards (or equivalent ATI cards). There is something that D2R is not playing nicely with and with the number and repetitiveness we see of posts it is obvious that it is widespread enough to likely NOT be on the player but on the game itself
Note: I only say likely due to there possibly being some flaws on 30XX cards that New World was hitting then blamed on NVidia. I don’t know enough of the situation to know if, somehow, D2R could be hitting that same issue at all.

Yeahhh I have a super computer and a gigablast internet connection. I don’t want to be that guy but damn that sucks for people having these issues.
I have a laptop w/ a 1065 and, sure, gigabit connection so FAR from a great computer.
sometimes i play a 12 hours session with maybe 1 crash, sometimes i crash 4 times in 4 hours.
its not very steady. a couple times it crashed just as a youtube video ended on second monitor - but i cant say its linked… it crashes so often that it might just be coincidences 
I am like constantly alt-tabbing out of the window to chat on the forum or look up runewords etc I’ve just not experienced these 1500 ppl queues and 70 d/c an hour like some people idk if they’re being hyperbolic or if I’m just blessed.
All afternoon the same does not open the game the technical report solution check the technical availability of your equipment, as if I have been playing for days and this happens to several, it is OUR PROBLEM
