They gave in already

lol you really thought i looked up?

If you watched their stream then you’d have a better idea of their intent. However, I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t

Anyways, they understand this could disturb the balance of PvP and encourage pvpers to join the PTR once it’s up. This would allow players to provide detailed feedback and suggestion.

I’m not so much worried of their intent, but rather their capabilities. Blizzard has not shown a lot of promise this last decade.

Been playing since day 1 of classic release and a bit of beta

Disagree with you completely. Try an actual reasoned argument instead of stupid personal attacks.

They “gave in already”?

They have been saying before even the game was released that they will focus initially on most-authentic stable version and then start changes. They even published surveys asking for requested changes, you think they did that just for fun? Not to mention it IS a LIVE GAME.

Just love how people try hard to make it seem like VV/Blizzard “lied” or “scammed” them. You just look stupid.

I don’t believe that’s how they advertised it but I 100% support keeping a 1.13 server so people who have gotten used to it over 20 years can keep a community there.

That’s a fair concern that I think worries a lot of us. However, we’ll see how much things are tweaked based on actual feedback during ptr because we all know there will be tears from players that are simply resistant to change. These types of players will regurgitate the same old arguments without any feedback based on actual experience in the PTR.

No, more like the people who have the obsession to play the same game with no changes for 20 years straight are likely the ones bombarding the polls.

They’ve made comments that changes aren’t off the table and this will be a live game. This should be a clear indicator something is going to happen. It’s one of the reasons I decided to play this game again after 1.10 ruined it (that’s just my opinion).

I hope they give Enigma(enema) a teleport cooldown of 10 seconds.

Though that would give players more choice, remember what happened to WoW Classic when they released TBC Classic? It killed WoW Classic. Everyone in my 40 person guild was content doing Naxx, then Blizz announced the ‘optional’ TBC, and every server died. Even the hardcore full bis atiesh players who said they’d play Classic forever gave up to tbc.

I think it would be the same here. If you had a D2R 1.14 (never update) and a separate D2R continuously updating state. Everyone will play continuous update version. Even the complainers here would play the newer D2R version because that’s where everyone is. We literally see it today! Most people are playing D2R, not 1.14 on the Classic realms.

When I say “everyone” I mean the large majority (80%+). There will always be those who are interested in only 1.14 or pre LOD, etc.

I commend Blizz for the upcoming changes. Should have been in the original release. Purists need to get a grip and understand D2R is not and should not be a carbon copy of the original. Lol how ridiculous.

Play classic if you don’t want change.

D4 is the place for evolution, not D2.

Changes in D2 should be minimal or QoL preserving the essence of the game. Otherwise there’s no point to bring it back.

Are you people stupid ?

They are changing things so that we don’t see everyone running the same boring builds chasing after the same boring items and rune drops that have been there since 2010/2016.

You afraid that you’re going to have to respec or build a new PVP character that is more balanced towards different builds ? OR now has weaknesses that weren’t there before due to the viability of other character builds ?

Sounds like a

“GIT GUD” moment for you ancient purists.

The game is evolving with better graphics and now more viable builds due to other skills being made more useful. Nothing they have said is saying “skills will be nerfed”.

They should also implement Personal Loot and the ability to play with less than 8 players while still having the game set to its maximum difficulty … because not everyone playing is a nerd that can spend 80 hours a week grinding the game. Many of us just want to play with a few real life friends and have fun WHILE still being able to play at the maximum difficulty.

Changes so far are brilliant you guys are salty and need to take of the rose tinted glasses and realise that D2LOD does not equal D2R.

EDIT: or they can add in a “Classic” mode so that you ancient purists can sit in a circle and jerk each other off at how you can’t all get Enigma and are all running the same exact build … wow sounds like so much fun #sarcasm.
