LOL! Its hilarious how often just a few lines makes such drastic changes. This change was approved at high levels of business, so the engineer isn’t to blame.
Blizzard tracks their success by MAUs. They know how many people are playing and are engaged. If they think they can get more success from reverting this change, they’ll do it. If not, womp womp, welcome to the bitter D2R club. Here’s a free T-shirt.
Let me get this straight… Instead of fixing mind blast, they decided to remove FHR bps and stun issues from PvP completely? I would fire whatever egotistical developer implemented that idea because yikes at what their other potential fixes might be. The reason I think he’s egotistical is because he doesn’t listen to the huge mistake he made and has refused to fix it. I would never want that kind of person working for me. I especially wouldn’t want them in any sort of leadership position. (Probably what we got going).
cmon blizz fix pvp for these folks it’s really cluttering the forum at this point and I don’t think a single pvm player such as myself even noticed the change. seems the only noticable effect was that pvp is ruined.
I think that Activision thinks the change was quite good. PvPers are going to stay mad. The 5 devs working on D2R think that the “bug” they fixed was a good thing. Meanwhile bugs can make games enjoyable, such as muta stacking in BW. It wasn’t planned, but it is good for general gameplay, but since they put only their dumbest devs on D2R, we get fixes for bugs that were actually good and terror zones.
but hit recovery isnt a bug. You can perma stun mobs in pvm after all… They just went out of their way to implement something totaly new toxic to the game ^^

I really hope Blizz rolls back the FHR and FBR change, the changes were well intentioned but the execution is flawed and hurt PvP more than it helped. Players should never get punished for reaching higher FHR breakpoints and the changes to block animations undermine the purpose of Faster Block Rate.
Yes it’s annoying to get stuck in block lock but it’s something that players need to strategize around when they encounter monsters, like using chokepoints to reduce their surface area or reposition, etc. And that’s just PvM, the block changes have huge implications for PvP as well.
thanks for the kind words, its hard to tell that people quit pvp because its a lower percent of the game base population but its taken a massive hit in 2.4
Even in ver 2.3, mind blast was not a bug. If the FHR was made 86, telleport was possible even without WSG.
Since FHR was removed from 2.4, all pvp is no longer fun.
blizzard mentioned the build variety, but thanks to the shiiit they sprayed on the 2.4ver pvp balance was over and turned into a true shooter game. That’s the problem. Now, it has become a simple game in which both barbarians and assassins have to throw or shoot until the mana points are exhausted. stupid developer
Nothing for us in this update. This is getting stupid. Is that so difficult to understand you did a trash change blizzard ? Just revert fhr to 2.3 and be done with it
what they did to PVP probably soon will come into being in PVM. simplify playing by setting the upper limit of immunes to be 95%. so i dont think they have any interests in listening to you feedback.
