Then you dont know the history of this game, because Patch 1.10 released in october 2003 while several key developers of Blizzard North left the company in June 2003.
Whoever took over for Blizzard North had no idea what they were doing and added OP and Meta runewords like Enigma, Hoto, Infinity, Spirit, Grief, Fort etc.
I bet Uniques and sets were more useful before synergies and OP runewords were added to the game.
I didnt say it was perfect when 1.10 started and yet 1.10 was huge improvement to game.
Look at game and issues before 1.10 buggy mess, glitchs fest, hacked itemsā¦yeah that was blizzard north
I dont underatand why people act like they were somehow amazing and better. They really werent. Yeah they made great game, it doesnt mean it could not have been much better and it wasnt buggy mess. Look at fallout 2, one if the best games ever made but it was buggy mess also, hell i dont think you could even finish it becaue of bugs when they were selling it.
So yeah game is made as whole creation. Some parts of d2 are amazing, almost perfect, but some bad. And blizzard north is to be blamed for bad stuff just for good stuff.
Yeah, but FHR ist a feature from Blizzard North that was already in Diablo 1 and this new Blizzard generation for some reason detest and dont want to implement it in D4.
I dont see any good work from new Blizzard development team besides balance for some PVE classes and the shared stash, but their removal from key features like TCP-IP or LAN, Hit Recovery for PVP and forcing you to buy a digital copy with required online for patches of the game are not the best ways to handle your product.
The D2R battle.net version is a downgrade of what D2LoD has/had to offer regarding Lobby, Chat, Account creation/Character Slots.
And what does this team do? Just add a feature no one asked for and ignore 90% of the feedback that the playerbase gives to them.
It just reeks of greed and not understanding the playerbase at all because they are not the original developers and their vision is totally different.
Ignoring the community is standard operating procedure for Blizzard after the beginning of D3 development.

Im done. The game is a joke. Ignores a whole pvp community, with absolutely no news and garbage patches. No sign of fixing FHR, FBR or stuns - so yea, well played Blizzard.

How is a new player supposed to enjoy their Barb/Smiter/Trap sin? FHR / Blocking animation was the downside to casters. Now it is all Druid vs Necro. A PvM player asked me what they could do to get their trap sin to be viable in PvP. I had to tell them to not play and remake a new character.
Trap wont be fun and they will quit, so I have to suggest Druid/Necro/ES Sorc to everyone.
ya, saying āoh poor noobs suffer because of stuns blabla they wont stay in the game blablablaā is totaly delusional because those same āpoor noobsā will have a big hard time actually playing characters like barb or smite because of the lack of stunsā¦
Alternatively those who plays trapsin will probably just play mega defensive because its so delicate to go aggro in 2.4 with trap sin, and they will get bored and leave after a while because playing def trapsin is potentially the most boring thing in the worldā¦

I canāt help feeling like this, along with other aspects of the game, wouldāve already been fixed if the company took care of their employees. Maybe if the company added some more lines in their budget for hiring and compensating their employees and balanced it by taking out the assumedly crazy amount of money they pay their union-busting law firm: we wouldnt have to cut-throats with PvM players for community management attention.

Canāt parse active pvp users from PvM users so hard to tell but I can assure you pvp is down over 25%-33% since 2.4 launch all related to the FHR changes of 2.4.
My point is they made a change and have no process on how to evaluate their success. Someone put about 5 lines of code for 10 frame fhr immunity, pushed to prod and said everyone is stupid except me.
