Sunder Charms Need to be Rarer

They drop every 15 minutes or so in terror zones. I think they need to significantly bump up the rarity. It takes the fun out of the hunt when you know you’re going to get the element you need with a decent -res% in couple hours or so. They should drop as often as a Gul or Vex rune, maybe even a Lo rune for online play.

They get special drop rate in greater rifts only

All the sunder charms are pretty useless now and not enough to move pure builds outside of their normal farming lanes. This idea that immunities acting as a full stop wall was ever good for the game needs to stop.

Agreed. Immune monsters are in hell for a reason.

Sunder charms need to be removed from the game

And instead do the smart thing of removing the majority of immunities by capping monster resistances at 95%

Yes but i have only found 1 poison sunder in 2 hours with 400mf, would be nice if i was getting one every 15 minutes like the OP.

100% agreed. Sunders should be endgame items, not available for everyone for free.

That’d be the same as giving everyone free Sunder charms of all elements without any res penalty or taking inventory slots. That’d be power creep of unimaginable level. Sunders at least have some drawbacks.

No. The way immunities currently work actively make the game worse and shrink how many builds are actually playable solo. It’s garbage game design and has never been good. Even worse, itemization has never been implemented to circumvent it unless you want to play a lit build. It’s trash through and through. Resistance lowering effects can be rebalanced around it, and frankly enemies don’t need to have negative resistances. The current 1/5 nonsense has always been dumb.

Whether something has an immunity or has 95% reduced damage, nobody is going to attack it without some significantly bis gear to cut through that resistance.

every 15 min drop sundercharm? its your luck, i play 2-3 four hours net me 0 charm, 1 if lucky, you overeacted

Wrong. Until they balance out trash spells, they need all the help they can get. Locking the only perk those classes can get behind a one charm lucky drop would be bad. Let them rain until the balance patch comes.

Do you realize that, given the patch history, it may be never (or 20 years later)?

Fine? You don’t have to keep them? Just like you don’t have to pick up every health pot and sell to charsi. Sure the best classes benefit from them too, but the dogwater classes get the biggest benefit from them. So, if you don’t like it just don’t pick them up?

remove sunders

cap synergies to 20 points

increase inventory space to 10x10

add small %edmg from Energy for all dmg skills incuding physical skills.

Thanks for the suggestion, I would never have thought of it myself. And you yourself don’t use Sunders, Enigma, Grief, Spirit or anything else which is OP?
It is not about too common drops, but trivializing the game. The rarer such items are, the healthier the game is. Otherwise you have 4 months long ladders, but nothing to do after a week.

There is nothing to do after about a week anyway? Yes i use all the OP stuff, it isn’t for me. My infinity light sorc and my enigma wearing hdin and my grief using hork barb all use BiS sure. It isn’t about me those builds all work fine w/o sunder. Meanwhile a nova sorc using infinity is trash w/o it. I mean they operate, but they need that bonus hardcore. So why not let them have it? It doesn’t make the best classes any better, just helps the weaker ones out.

For all the times I posted the suggestion on these forums

  • cap 95

  • total - cap = life%

  • “fire enchanted” raises cap and can make mob immune

  • thematic immunities remain (psn immune doors)

  • being a cap retains 1/5th penalty as total is higher than 100

I’ve been farming for many hours since i woke up this morning. No sunder charm, so I call bs on OP.
