Requesting, appealing to common sense, begging, video/pic evidence, ā¦ none of this has worked. So, time for another approach ā¦ eventually, something will get their attention and make a difference, then, and only then, we might see a difference.
EDIT:
Aside from some improved graphics, I donāt see anything theyāve done to actually benefit the actual player character nor fix anything that has been broken for decades ā¦ I see additions that benefit d2stores and bots. I also see a total lack of regard for players by allowing botting to flourish and allowing spambots to run rampant.
So, yeah, a little bashing is in order. I mean, it isnāt like what I mentioned isnāt PAINFULLY OBVIOUS to you and I both!

Whatās the fun of you destroying your hand, acquiring a RSI (disease), doing magic find if what you drop is worthless, with bots running 24/7 a week? Whatās the point of an RPG game you play to build your hero, if the bots do it for you?
You should read what the player just said up there, he spoke truths, Enigma is not for any player, enigma is for those who invest more time playing and not for anyone!
The RPG genre is to generate this difference in players, your hero will be stronger with every hour you spend playing on him!

OP made a thread because he is happy that blizzard actually updated a old title. He is being humble and appreciate the hours those devs put into making it happen.
U dont need to cry and complain in every thread. There are ppl who actually believe they did a good job.
And no they didnt ruin d2. The original d2 still exist.

This is virtually all triple AAA game companies nowadays. The corporate model; consumed by conglomerates to appease money bags and obliged to shove in current political narratives at the detriment of immersion/the best game.
Blizzard is not unique in this sense.

I think you might be right. There have been some really positive changes, and December was a treat with all of the surprises and special events every day.
This season we got 4 extra character slots which is great. I can make a new character without deleting a buncha stored treasures. Theyāve done some good things, and perhaps we need to cheer them on when they introduce positive updates instead of always being critical or focusing -only- on the negative.
I hope they continue to support D2R after the dust settles from the d4 launch

Everything could be done better. There is always something to complain about. Especially when someone else is doing it for u. They dont think or prioritize the same thing as u. Even if they did others wouldnt be happy and think they could have done better. Did they add everything i wanted? ofc not. However they did good things which some of the ppl wanted.
Tbh they did more than we should have been expected from a 20y old game, especially if u consider how sensitive d2 fanboys. D2r wasnt for the big masses but a nostalgia trip for some individuals. D4 is another story.
