Yeah, stop bashing the devs, they just implement the stuff they’re told.

Start bashing the game designers, on the other hand.

i would’ve been happy if they gave us d2:r and didn’t touch a thing, but you know what, they HAD to put their little spin on things and ruin it, so ya, i’m unhappy with these devs, they are terrible. i’d rather just not have d2:r at this point because it’s unplayable if you ask me.

the devs could just say they did it and the designers would have no idea since they don’t actually check anything. that much is obvious.

I agree here.

I did leave Diablo 2 LOD due to outdated graphic´s long time ago & I did come back & gave it a try, but the graphic was & still is outdated & left within short time.

I did buy “Diablo 2 Resurrected” & it was the best 13 dollars I have spend & I have already spend hours on this game & I enjoying it alot.
Their is something magical about this game & I could write pages of what it makes it magical.

The former Diablo team knew exactly, how to upgrade from Diablo 1 to Diablo 2 & a lot of the upgrades & changes made sense & created a lot of fun. The only upgrade we didnt get, was the graphics. So the fun got lost due to outdated graphic & Blizzard woke it up again.

I would like to Thank Blizzard for bringing this awesome game back to live with new graphics.
Well done Blizzard.
Thank you for reading this.

If they’d move Cain next to the stash in Act 5, I’d think higher of them. It’s how it is in the original game while playing on Battle.net. And I don’t think local single players would mind the change either.

Aside from that, if they really want to, put a lid on the power creep and nerf the OP classes. No class should be able to easily curbstomp the game @ /players 8… I don’t care how godly your gear is. Nerf the OP class builds by skill and/or specific item tweaks, while simultaneously bringing the melee classes up to be on par with the casters.

You mean: if you want to barb, just use some irl money to get yourself to the point where you can actually kill stuff

The devs are the designers in this case. Thinking there is a full team working on D2R is just a foolish assumption. The devs have come up with all the trash ideas that have been implemented into D2R.

This is a boardroom issue, completely out of developers’ hands… they look at each title, view costs + return and based on their forecasts they determine where developer funds go. So between OW2, Immortal, WoW and D4, where do you think d2r fits in those conversations? 1000% they groan and probably laugh each time d2r is brought up.

company can’t even program a working chat function in their games…

Dying game? Lots of people still play LOD.

I hate the new graphic and how clumsy the toons act when viewed. I play in the original graphics mode.

“If I were Blizzard and owned this place and Hell, I’d rent this place out and live in Hell.” - paraphrasing Chronicles of Riddick

It’s no wonder none of them pay any attention to these forums. It’s a radioactive wastedump of abusive haters and crybabies. Not like this is the only place like that, but damn. If I was Blizz management, I would absolutely forbid any employees from visiting this forum out of fear for their mental health and safety. (BTW, many companies actually do this.)

It doesn’t really matter what they do or don’t do with this game, there would be anger and resentment from some group or another. If they didn’t change anything at all except the graphics, some people would complain they got tricked into buying nothing but a graphics mod. If they got rid of bots, some people would lose their minds over of that. There’d be some group or another that would treat it like the end of the world over any non-trivial change they could possibly make. There are currently people treating it like the end of the world because of changes they haven’t made.

The Devs/Designers are in a no-win scenario and will be hated no matter what they do or don’t do. It’s a common problem with any kind of legacy art form. A lot of old fans become obsessively fixated on specific details, elements, or “the feel” of games, music, movies, etc. Then when the people/bands/companies who are actually having to do the work and survive/thrive off the fruits of their own labor make any slight deviation whatsoever from previous works, some segment of their fan-base or another is going to treat the creator like they just ran over the person’s dog.

On the other side, like it or not, art and creative mediums are like sharks: if they stop swimming, they drown. Things have to keep moving and evolving to keep it fresh and exciting. Whether it’s with sequels, followups, or patches, creators have to keep innovating and trying new things or it will just become stale and boring for most people, including themselves, and even most of the people who think they want it to stay exactly the same.

People who create for a living have an easier time understanding all of this.

umm… that’s what we were PROMISED… - THE SAME GAME YOU KNOW AND LOVED - THEY SAID THAT. not us. they told us it would be the same game we know and loved. and let me just say it again. NOW LOOK AT IT. it’s nothing like 1.14d. (which isn’t even the best version of d2lod) … so that statement is just wrong. they promised us the same game we know and loved, AND THEN changed it on us. ffs. you are SO WRONG.

Yeah, I think they meant that for Diablo 2 classic, considering how little classic mode has gotten from the remaster. LoD on the otherhand seems to be their digital playground.

If it was just a graphics mod, I wouldn’t have bothered buying it and would have become quickly bored and disappointed if I had.

and i’d still be playing it, different strokes for different folks.

i would’ve been ok with updates. but not the updates this specific team has chosen for us. really really bad imo. but what can you expect from the people that brought us diablo 3 and 4… sigh…

That’s what I’m saying they were already damned no matter what they did, just with different people.

Also, I like a lot of the changes they’ve made.

i dunno, the randomness of TZ is pretty stupid. and the fact it hasn’t been changed AT ALL, is really bad.

mosaic, WAS NEVER THE ANSWER to melee assasins being weak. now they are far too strong. there needs to be a middle ground. where they are worth playing, but not the strongest character by 10 miles. you know?

WSG - never needed to get patched out

PVP FHR - never needed to get patched out (not that i pvp but it’s a really bad change for people who do)

dclone spawn change - just… need i say more?

sunder charms - what a joke. WHAT A JOKE. all they had to do was nerf hammers a little bit. that’s it. people wouldn’t even notice if their hammers did 12k instead of 20k. ffs. also concentration isn’t actually supposed to work with hammers, it’s also a bug, that they aren’t fixing, so they are picking and choosing which bugs to fix,

also this is LOL. so every blizz employee is a little snowflake that can’t take some criticism? like what is wrong with this world that these people couldn’t come here and take a little A: advice and B: critial criticism. it’s not the worst thing in the world to hear you’ve done a bad job, IF you’re willing to fix the mistakes you made. if you’re headstrong on all your bad decisions and think you’re the best … well then there lies our problem.

Random unbalanced tzs is crap. They deserve the bashing.

Kicksins have been able to one shot the Ubers since long before d2r. As have smiters. The problem is they are otherwise useless for playing through the game. And that’s fine. Different classes and different builds have consequences and that is AS INTENDED.

Even the original devs didn’t intend for people to look up some meta on a website or video and spec a char exactly the same with the exact same gear.

They didn’t intend to have everyone skip an entire act, followed by an entire difficulty. The intention was for the game to be difficult, with difficult choices and real consequences for those choices. They didn’t want people to be able to respec their characters.

Go start a new character and play self found without a rush or having a high level character beat the game for you, from normal to Hell. There is an enormous sense of accomplishment in doing this and that’s how the game was meant to be played.

People keep complaining about things as if they are bugs when they are really features. If you have a character that can’t solo the ancients in Hell, level them some more until they can. Don’t use a guide. Don’t use your experience making meta builds. Try to not respec at all. You’ll still be playing this game in 15 years if you do that. There’s too much RNG involved for this game to be easy especially on higher difficulty settings.
