Stop Asking For Change or Additions

D2 changes and additions merely for the sake of changes and additions provides no gaurantee that the instated changes and additions will make D2 better.

And given Blizzard’s current talent, there’s a very good chance that whatever is changed or added will make D2 worse. They were unable to copy a simple chatroom/lobby without messing it up.

Good news! People aren’t asking for D2 changes, they are asking for D2R changes. If Blizzard botches D2R, D2 is still playable in all it’s glory.

I agree with you. However thing is blizzard isn’t some charity. Chances are high that D2R is gonna get milked. Tbh I think the game COULD be improved but that would take years of balancing etc. Therefore I hope that any possible balance change will be made in a completely separate mode like classic is. LoD should stay as is forever.

Obviously, I’m referring to Diablo 2 in general and not Diablo 2 without the expansion.

That being said… what you’re saying still doesn’t make any sense because a lot of the changes/additions would in fact affect Diablo 2 without the expansion.

Lol wat? They aren’t changing D2 or D2:LoD that came out 20 years ago… If they change D2R that does not affect D2 or D2:LoD… So if they implement changes to D2R one can simply go back to play those versions if the changes “ruin the game”.

Lord of Destruction isn’t a game in and of itself. It’s an expansion to the game Diablo 2.

Notice how it’s called Diablo 2: Resurrected and not Lord of Destruction: Resurrected or Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction: Resurrected.

When somebody says Diablo 2 it’s safe to assume they’re talking about Diablo 2 in general with all of its current changes and expansions. That’s why terms like ‘classic’ exist: to differentiate this general use of Diablo 2 from ‘Diablo 2 without LoD.’

Also, I’m not sure what your point is with your last post. We’re on the Diablo 2: Resurrected forum, not the Diablo 2 classic or Diablo 2 LoD forum. Therefore, it should be obvious that I’m referring to Diablo 2: Resurrected, right?

It just seems like you have a lot of reading comprehension problems. I recommend that you start reading more books to fix that.

We need 2 versions of D2:R

1 without any further changes
1 with tons of changes where devs can go crazy

It will be like Hardcore and Softcore

So everyone will be happy.

But at the end of the day, devs don’t care about it either, they gonna push out some halfhearted changes and ladders from time to time and that’s it.

Nobody cares what is being discussed here.

Lol my whole point is D2 and D2R are 2 different games. Maybe try adding in the R if that’s the game you are refering to.

2nd point still stands. You are worried changes made by Blizzard will ruin this game. They already stated changes will happen so if you do not want to play with changes you should play D2 or D2:LoD.

/shrug.

You have showed your hand though and are now resulting to insults so good luck with people taking you seriously.

But we’re on the Diablo 2: Resurrected forum. Therefore, it should be obvious to you that I’m talking about… Diablo 2: Resurrected.

There are people who want a Diablo 2 with updated graphics, sound, and security without changes and additions to the game’s content. In fact, that’s what most people thought Diablo 2: Resurrected was. So your point doesn’t make any sense. “lolz, how wuz dey ruin diablo 2? diablo 2 and diablo 2 resurrected r not teh sam games!”

So are you purposely being obtuse or…?

So everyone will be happy.

Nice pipe dream.

Not me
And i dont think most people thought d2r was just a reskin
Tbh, i think they wanted to remake this game from zero but Activision had another plan for d2r release date so we got this frankstein and the same old problems of mouse precision
That said, balances will come as stated lets just hope for the best

If you actually followed D2R before it was released, there was no evidence of it being and a completely new game. It was always marketed as a reskin with very slight improvements (like the stash). Did you not follow the game before it was released?

You are the only one using this “completely new game” expression

So what did you read/watch prior to D2R’s release that gave you the idea that they’d being going beyond a reskin with slight improvements?

i mean other than the fact thy’ve stated they’ll be adding things?

The problem is our opinion
I think more tabs and shared stash was a big change, you problably dont
I think auto gold pick-up was a big change, you problably dont
I think ebug, wsg, untargetable merc and disapering summons fix was a big change, you problably dont

See, for me this game is already very different from d2lod 1.14

Now, about what they said, wrote or showed prior game release, everything was ambiguous for me, never stating or denying anything and this is the rule for big companies

I don’t remember any marketing of this game, prior to its release, that indicated it would be more than a reskin with slight improvements. If you could provide some evidence for your belief that there was, then I’d like to see it.

GamesBeat: Is new content on the table, like an Act VI? Is that a possibility?

Gallerani: I will never deny it. It’s not on the table right now. But it’s not off the table either.
