Still unable to play & launch

So, I have uninstalled, re-installed.
I have run as admin,
I have scanned and repaired,
I have changed date and settings times,
I have restarted my computer,
I have re-installed the launcher,

I press, “Play” it changes to, “Launching” and then to, “Playing Now” and then times out back to, “Play” after 5 seconds.

What is the issue here?

I played BETA no problem…

Thanks,

Processor Intel(R) Core™ i7 CPU 960 @ 3.20GHz, 3201 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)

They’re working on it. Patch for it will be today or tomorrow.

Have u tried just opening the game from the file location and the d2r one. Just straight skip the app

Yes. Yes I have tried that as well.

GTX 600/Radeon 7000 series or higher needed. (Due to driver support)

I’ve seen two posts in here stating that they have 1st gen (Nehalem) Intel chips… I’m not sure if that is a restriction, but the stated minimum Intel CPU is a 3rd gen (Ivy Bridge). Although I doubt it is the case, it’s certainly possible that the game uses instructions that are not available on the 2nd gen and older Intel i-series chips.

Dang idk that’s what I had to do opened but now game just closes every 5mins offline or online doesn’t matter

Issue has been identified (we think). They are supposedly working on a fix. Something to do with i7 CPUs and not supporting AVX. No need to uninstall and re-download stuff and bang your head against the wall. Cheer up!

I am having the same issue as well and followed their guide to a T. It seems as though at least according to one of the moderators something may be activating as a requirement which is not supposed to.

Hey Scopium. I have tried all day to play, zero success. I launch and screen goes black for 1 second then back to battlenet screen with "application has encountered unexpected error’ do you get that error too?

Pretty messed up to change a hardware requirement like that after you got people’s money from a beta experience. Especially when that Beta client ran like a damned dream on my old intel chipset at max settings.

Not only the money aspect, but the time off work, and the excitement tp play… only to end up sitting at the battle.net launch screen all day.

From what the moderator said, it doesn’t seem like it was intentional. But I also cant find the master forum which existed this morning for this discussion

Wonder if Simu Llu is playing or is he also having issues logging in…

No I don’t get that error

absolutely agree! played both betas myself with no issues at all. NONE.

if this is an AVX issue… this will NOT be an easy fix for them… as it will be written in the code (hardware side). i don’t expect a fix at all personally. this was horrible execution. many people pre purchased to run the active beta simply to see if the game would run in the first place. huge disappoint. will say it again… this was my last go at anything blizz. i already set a ticket to refund. good luck to anyone and everyone who hopes to see an AVX fix.

if i had ANY indication or feedback from blue on a fix or ability to run the game as i could before… i would pull my ticket in a heartbeat. but i know better. actions speak louder than words and actions are something this company can’t seem to put together anymore. sad really.

all the best.

I am with you on this. I grew up playing blizzard games and enjoyed them until recently. This launch is giving me flashbacks of D3 and MW launch. Constant launch issues, over and over again. I am done, The beta ran great and the game doesn’t. I can’t imagine how frustrated some people are and how many feel like blizzard at this point is only out for the money and lost their connection with its audience and pride in their products.

How is an issue of this level not brought up at any point in time during development.

Same here open the game 5s- 5min auto close!

Am in exactly the same boat here Scorp. I did install it on a gaming laptop and it came up fine, but that laptop is not attached to two 30" monitors that I love.

GPU and Windows drivers are all up to date. Hope they have something helpful on this. What I see out there is just the same old Tier 1 support drivel. I was likewise a beta player on my main system without any issues at all.
