Standard of Heros

I remember back in Diablo 2 when Uber trist was added. Standard of Heros drops when you finish the ubers and get your torch.

This item was supposed to have an intended use in the game and I would really like to see this item actually be used in D2R in the next content patch.

Terror zones are cool addition to make the end game leveling and item finding more dynamic and interesting. I was originally opposed to the mechanic but it has since drastically grown on me.

All I ask now is that you find something to do with the Hero of Standard… I honestly thought it would be used to get Dclone to spawn instead of SOJS… because… we have no dupe anymore. The new system for getting Dclone to spawn however has caused a massive influx in Anni charms and essentially made them worthless… I get them for free…

Please consider making the Hero of Standard be used in a patch aimed towards additional end game content with another end game boss.

Looking at the helm runewords I think its pretty cool you are giving us the ability to absorb elemental damage a lot easier.

I am going to be able to remake my sorb pally that instead of taking elemental damage is constantly healed by all sources.

Before you were able to achieve this with the pelta luna and raven frost for cold. Dwarf stars and rising sun i believe for Fire.

TGods and Wisp or Blackhorns or lightsaber for lightning absorb.

The fact that i have had these items memorizes for 10+ years … I legit played this too much growing up.

Torch+3x Standards in the cube rerolls the torch. This is the best option for them.

I think it would be cool if you could bring a standard of heroes into a TZ and it’ll spawn a special mob or something along that. The mob could be like countess and have a high chance of a rune drop?

This or something like it would be s-tier. Then I can kick myself for all the standards I left lying on the ground.

I still think it’d be neat if the SoH acted as a charm, which increases the difficulty of the game. I originally posted this idea here.

“The monsters of sanctuary are enraged from the sight of the Standard of Heroes that you carry. Their strength, numbers and damage have been increased.”

If in the inventory, it will boost monsters health, damage and density by 12.5%.

If 8 players in a group are all carrying a SoH, then you’re looking at double health, damage and density for monsters. (No extra XP or drops per monster. The density modifier does not apply to bosses, superuniques or uniques.)
