It would be great if item stacking were possible in the character inventory as well.
Early on, the inventory fills up quickly just from picking up potions, and later it becomes a headache trying to manage limited space while hoarding items. It would be nice if things like runes, potions, and gems could stack up to around 10.
Also, personally, I think it would be great if mercenaries had their own dedicated inventory. In other words, they could store items themselves—either by having the player hand items over for storage or by giving them commands to pick items up.

Here we are with another episode of Hoarders: Diablo II Edition!
The game should just add a pack mule that follows you around that has 10x stash tabs. No wait, make it a dump truck that has 100x stash tabs. No wait, make it a mobile warehouse with 1000x stash tabs. Oh hell just go full PlugY and make your stash follow you around and be infinite! I WILL BE TEH GOD OF HOARDING!!!11!1

You’re going a bit overboard.

Nah… You know why? The only thing a hoarder wants is…
Drumroll…
More. Always more. And if they get more, they still want more.
Opinions like yours aren’t helpful. It just seems like you’re bored and making a habit of mocking others.

Or maybe I’ve hit the nail on the head like I usually do.
Hoarding is a real mental disorder.
I wasn’t asking for something like the unlimited inventory from PlugY. If you’ve got nothing better to do, take a break and clear your head—don’t spend your time putting others down.

You better get used to how things are now, because I highly doubt we’re going to get much more if any more space. Stop hoarding items you aren’t using, you’ll have more space.
Well, that’s not something you can know for sure. Are you familiar with the internal development situation? I posted this in the hope that a developer might see it, not to waste time arguing with you. Let’s stop here—please just move along.

Fine… Good luck with your request.
Stackable gems/runes would be nice for sure. Enemies occasionally dropping perfect gems in level 90+ TZs would be nice too. Anything that makes crafting a little bit more functional is welcomed imo.
That’s not what I meant.
Currently, items can only be stacked in the stash, so you still have to visit town frequently just to check your items, just like before. I think this inconvenience could be reduced if some items could also stack in the character inventory. The same goes for mercenaries having their own dedicated inventory. This is a feature already implemented in other games, and I hope it could be applied to Diablo II as well.

I meant in inventory. And yes the new stash tab is brilliant. Turns out QoL can be nice.

Really just need what the game has always needed. Dedicated separate inventory for Charms. When you start inventory not an issue you got tons can run for hours without even vendoring.
But at late game you got 2 or 3 rows open and have to play with vendor/iding etc every single run
Lmao came in here to just crap on op for no reason with your sarcastic BS as usual and he just swats you away like the fly you are.
Can’t stand people like you Jedi! Cant just say “i dont like that idea for xyz reason and have a convo” all you know how to do is give sarcastic bs and tired as help arguments about slipper slopes or something. More! More! Always more!
lmao i tested playing with my exact character plus more inventory by using hero editor to compound my charms- it’s exactly what I thought it would be basically makes the gsme exactly what I want. Thats all, no more. Your argument sucks
Bravo op lmao way to completely shut this dude down

To be honest it is hard to blame him. Posts about making game easier claiming this is just QOL are a plague since D2R came out.
I am also tired of this bs.
For this post I just ask what exactly would you want to stack in inventory? Because if it was about potions - gg baby mode activated.

The best place for bad ideas to die is In the light of day, so let people talk it out or move on. It’s not a problem for op that you don’t want what he wants. There is no wsy to defend Jedi here. He’s in the wrong period
If you can articulate a strong argument against op then do it
Dont just come in like a jerk with a half baked idea like “ohhhh you’ll just want more!”
By all means say you don’t want the idea. Nothing wrong with that but
- Have a half decent argument
- Just say it nicely lmao
If this was a cut and dry argument there would be a post from decades ago to end the discussion, but there isn’t ao whats that tell you.
Like why don’t you ask op what he wants to stack? lol
It works both ways. Believe me - we tried xD
After making my point I always get an answer “so you do not want game to be fun?”.
There is a reason why D2 players hate D3 and D4. It would end exactly the opposite with those changes.
Gems. I like crafting. Its fun. I clear fast, i drop a lot of gems, i like picking them up so i can be disapointed by crafting.
Here’s a question, i what way did the new stash tabs ruin the game?
Its kind of insane to me that people absolutely want to hold to what in ANY other game would amount to a cheat code (teleport/enigma) but bristle at the idea of simple QoL changes.
You’d think skipping the entire game willy nilly is kind of a massive form of QoL.
