So everyone else is ok with this?

Yes I’m okay with this because leaderboards don’t matter and are full of bots anyway

I love how so many people who hate D3, ask for things D3 has

don´t gaf about leaderboards.

even less about blizz´ pet streamers.

Wow it’s like people with objectivity can hate something as a whole but still think it did particular things decently

Wow

That’s kinda my point tho. A lot of the hate from D3 (not saying this is your case, but it is something I observed) treats it as it did absolutely nothing right and anything even remotely similar to it should be avoided like the plague. I remember when the first artworks of D2R appeared, with things like the exp bar or the design of gems being called “too D3”.

Your comment about leaderboards reminded me of that, because D3 does have a variety of different leaderboards (although they’re all based on rift clear times).

i dont recall anybody calling D2r beta stuff too D3 lol quite the opposite, people were praising how D2r looked on a Artstyle point of view and asked for D4 to look more like it rather than the D3 enhanced edition it currently is

Oooh I saw a lot. Especially in reddit, facebook groups, etc. I vaguely remember seeing even complaints about the level up notifications. Mostly UI stuff and icons, not the artstyle of the 3d part of the game.

simple ban wave- solves problems ( pretty sure 99% every streamer has 1-2 hacker helping them)

I mean yeah, playing this game is literally their job. So they can dedicate 16 hours a day for a few days doing it. Hell some would probably do 24 hour streams at ladder start to get it.

These types of things always favor the “no lifer” type player, which is why i don’t understand why people care one way or the other. It will never be you at the top of that ladder, so why bother caring. The amount of effort, and not even skilled effort, just sheer grindy time you have to put into it, is not worth it imo.

I just play ladder start for the fresh start, fresh economy and good drops.

You know that it’s just a NEET ranking do you? No need to get all worked up over it.

There’s no skill in this game besides being able to click a mouse button with one or two skills set up (three if you feel ultra tryhard), only measurement is time invested.

So the guys with the sh…iest life, best welfare or most forgiving parents will be on top, simple as that.

People knew that 23 years ago, it’s nothing groundbreakingly new.

It’s the same as people in WoW raid on day 2 after an expac release, they have lots of time because they do not work, have no family or real, productive hobbies and their country permits that lifestyle.

You will hear garbage like: “took days off to play”, because they’re already so far from society that they actually think it just works like that and people believe it. Because it doesn’t, neither me nor anyone I know can just take time off in the middle of nothing however he/she pleases. And if you really can you must be working some damn dead-end minimum wage job that could be replaced by a monkey.

I mean that’s cool, but the argument for SSF and needing a ladder for it because streamers finish first b/c of their legions of fans isn’t a solid point. I’m fine with it being introduced, but yall are straight up pretending if you think you’d ever be competitive. And even the RMT users they’re not dedicated to the grind enough to even worry about. It isn’t like they’re at the top of the leaderboards either.

Cool if you want the mod, thats all good, but it changes nothing. And yes most don’t care about the 99 race and don’t even try because they either don’t care or know they’d never come close. I get that you cannot compete with no-life players or streamers who playing the game is their job, but that doesn’t change just becuase a SSF ladder exists. You’d still lose to anyone who has nothing better to do than grind to 99. And that is why the 99 race IMO is lame AF, just whoever has the most free time and requires the least sleep wins. It has nothing to do with skill. If it was about how fast in in-game time you hit 99 it would be something, but the streamers would still find a way to rig that. First to beat hell is probably the only real accomplishment.

ROFL, you should get a better job if you can’t take days off with a few weeks notice in advance.

yes, we are ok with this.

I don’t “Hate” diablo 3, i just think diablo 2 is a much better game. There are plenty of things it did right.

  • I actually think the Auction house was a good idea, the problem with that is they brought real money into it. Making something like JSP but in the game and officially sanctioned was a great idea, it would also help with botting because it would be easier to track who is buying what items.
  • Being able to customize your character a bit is really cool.
  • Having an actual endgame is solid
  • Items that are much more meaningful for most people.
  • Challenges

Things it did bad though:

  • Crafting amounted to just crafting a single item and wasn’t even good for some specs, after that crafting is useless.
  • There may be more meaningful items but they do too many crazy things, the thing about D2 is they basically give you skills already in the game. D3 itemization is unironically: “This skill now does +10,000% more damage”
  • The fact that your “Build” and spec is basically meaningless and you can switch to whatever you want with no penalty.
  • The infinite scaling means that there is technical infinite progression, but that progression becomes just a grind, if rifts ended at like “100” or something that would be much better and give people a goal.
  • The removal of trading
  • The loot treadmill is basically getting drops of the same items over and over again with slightly better stats, or being ancient and having higher stats, and then using things to increase their stats.
  • In D2 getting a BiS is a meaningful event, even if it might not have a “perfect” roll, the power of the items are rarely dictated by the “perfect” roll. In D3, you have your “BiS” in like a day, and then you just grind out getting the same items with better stat rolls over and over again.
  • Legendary items rain from the sky like it is nothing.

Lose implies that I’m trying to race to 99. If I were trying, and RMT / Viewer carry was stripped from the game, I could absolutely beat these people. I don’t care or want to, a SSF mode will likely never happen, and even if it did I would probably not play it because I want to play multiplayer. Still, it’s pretty troll the way you insist that we’d all lose, knowing nothing about who we are or how we play, these streamers are not that good and the game is easy.

Oh I’m mostly with you that D3 has some serious flaws. The only few points I don’t 100% agree

They actually end at 150.

I personally love that but I completely understand the tradeoff in terms of weight of decisions and attachment to a character.

Acti-Trash failed so hard at the AH they had to remove it. In game supported RMT that was flooded with botted gear and dupes.

And even before that everything mostly was just generic crap.

But honestly I knew D3 was going to fail early on I didn’t even keep up with it tbh.

Are builds and spec meaningless? You can switch classes on the fly and your gear is now universally good?

Not classes, but skills/runes/passive choices and gear sets which constitutes a character build in D3. Basically like the akara resets but infinite and you can also save gear sets to switch that in one button.

But you still have to farm multiple gear sets? I dont know how hard that is I was just curious if they made gear so generic it didn’t matter.

Thats fine. Respec is great tbh I’m cool with it. Maybe they’ve patched the game to be okay by now, but I have no faith after you have a bad launch so I will never be a fan. Have zero hope for D4 either.

You could literally manipulate the AH by altering your computer’s clock. When RMAH released I posted some absolute garbage items with no value whatsoever and instantly recouped more than the cost of the game. RMT people are such apes. Uninstalled shortly afterwards and never looked back, BTW: did PvP ever come to that game? You know, the one where they advertised a PvP ladder with events and different modes around it and then it launched and there was no way to hostile?
