its about TIME. i dont want to wait for someone that luckily has my game is his list. stuff like the EARLY marketplace before RMT had taken over and you could buy that ik amror with your credit card
d2jsp is not the only place where you can trade outside of the game, shocking I knowā¦

seems to be the best place though. All the free advertisement for the site, guess even more folks from traderie and co will join the jsp club if they not already have.

lovely that you have no issues wasting time, others dont like to waste their time
I donāt think JSP is perfect, there are things that are lame about it. But in my experience there are some proās to it.
- Community events (organized group MFing, giveaways, dueling tournaments, etc)
- You know the value of what you have when you have it.
- Faster trading
- If you find a great item that you have 0 use for, you get more out of it through the FG currency.
- Private services I.E. leeching games / Grushes / quest help
- Another place to meet lots of players. My friends list expanded a lot using JSP.
So yeah. Some people cheat and horde FG, doesnāt really impact me personally any. At the end of the day if Diablo had great tools to drive player engagement and trade; sites like JSP wouldnāt be necessary. But it doesnāt, so it is.

If someone told me Jsp would still be relevant in 2021 I wouldnāt have believed them. Funny how a 20 year old legendary title drags Jsp along with it.

Sorry I think youāre totally missing the pont, you still have to meet the player you gave forum gold to ingame right? I do exactly that with Discord and Traderie except that I donāt give them forum gold but runes ingame.
I fail to see how thatās a waste of time but hey, you do you.

pretty much that. it would be awesome if there was seasonal fg so everyone had to start from zero. wont ever happen sadly because of many reasons
I do not think most the people playing are on the site in question.
I know the group I am playing with is not on it. We are using Diablo io for our trading. And there is a very active trade community on that site.
I love how people keep saying D3 is dead even though it has players every Season. I would rather find items to use than to have to spend as much time trading as I play. I never wanted to be a sales men in real life donāt want to pretend to be one in a game either.

Placing aside its history as the goto place for anything bot and exploit related, my only concern with d2jsp is that people are paying money for fg. I know. I know. Why is someone elseās actions and decisions of any concern to me.
One option for d2jsp is to go completely legit. To link up with real charity sites, e.g., Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, or local/national cancer research centres, just to name a few, and that for every dollar donated to these charities d2jsp gives you fg. That the site only skims a bit for managing costs of the site.
As things stand now, it is highly probable that there are some people who do not really have a lot of money and who are buying fg as Diablo is exceptionally addictive. There is this strong pull (addictive traits) which d2jspās presence is exploiting.
Change the way it receives real money and d2jsp may move from being an exploitive site to one which is truly community based.

Due to the problem of players hoarding wealth on third party trading websites, we have decided that new ladder seasons will no longer have trades enabled.
This is to ensure players arenāt using wealth from previous seasons to quickly buy highly sought after magic find gear and in effect control the market from day one of the ladder.
We believe this is the best course of action to ensure fair competition occurs during ladder resets.
Non-ladder characters will still retain the ability to trade, as we truly believe they have nothing better to do than waste their time making bots to play the game for them.

Like Im all for ease of trading, but before jsp and other third party sites everyone was in game actively selling their items. Now itās divided between in game and third party sites which makes the game look less active for those who donāt know to join an outside community for trades.
Iām worried that because blizzard hasnāt been able to take jsp down with a lawsuit, and jsp owners and members refuse to back down with exploiting the games twenty year old design, that blizzard will react by changing the game so that it no longer benefits the trading sites. Like remove trading for the players competing in ladder (assuming there will be one).
This would totally suck for everyone. Even people who arenāt sweaty jsp/RMT abusers will be affected.

The trading system on POE was Honestly one of my Fav things about the game. even as a Newb I could Get on the game and go to town trading and buying things easy P-Z my collectables I got in game Held value. there was Never any question of Forum gold. the Trading system was More straight forward as D2R should Be and I also strongly feel theyāre gonna Need to Drop some P2p Stash tabs and Cosmetics with Currency tab.
They needa reset the FG on Ladders & Them not doing that gives the āHOARDERSā an Unfair advantage against the rest of us who will always be able to buy enigma when ever they wantā¦ I honestly canāt believe they didnāt reset the FG for D2r instead of Letting ppl carry there FG from D2lod which mostly for alot of players was earned botting cheatingā¦

Agree, despite the dozen of currency items that are also used for crafting the system works pretty flawlessly.
I really hope they donāt, PoE is a free to play game and buying stash tabs does server the purpose of supporting the game, I already paid for D2R and Iām not willing to part with more cash for microtransactions.
I mean I can still install OG D2 and PlugY and have infinite storage for free and thatās exactly what I will do if they ever turn this remaster into a cash making live service, that is definitely not why I bought this remaster.
I think that it is fair to say that Blizzard thoroughly neutered d2jsp. The owner of the site and their enablers have been unable to rise to the harmful level of being a source for bots and exploits as they once were. And though d2jsp may not be free to exploit Blizzard games due to previous lawsuits, what d2jspās owner is able to do is to exploit d2jsp forum members.
Itās a predatory site which greatly benefits from those who are vulnerable enough to pay money for fg. And of a greater concern is that d2jspās owner exploits gamers who spend a lot of their time farming and who then sell their hard to find items for very little fg due to competing with bot runners. d2jsp is an example of what can go horribly wrong when we combine a fraudster/exploiter with online tools to exploit gamers and with a gamer community with little self-control.
In conclusion, Blizzard thoroughly neutered d2jsp. What remains after its neutering is a site which exploits d2jsp members.

Microtransactions are the best way for a game to have continued support. think of it this way after thee initial purchase blizzard makes no more money. so with out the microtransactions itās only a matter of time till the game will get put on maintenance mode. Look at WoW another prime example subscription feeās have funded the content creation for Years now I was a Vanilla wow player myself.
it should happen but there shouldnāt be any power creep involved with it. imo
only SFX for your toon and Stash tabs/Currency tab. I personally would buy SFX for my toon.
