Hey guysal maybe it doesnt matter p 1024 does not exist?? Why budget build character would ever be able to oneshot players 8 AOE just because of one single item???
Im kind of in between on this matter. Although i do agree that this issue with monster resistances could have been solved in a better way ill still take the sunders over nothing being done. If this should be done in any other way monster cold and fire resistances would have to be changed to match the lightning res table. Anyway sunders did what they were supposed to do, they changed the game from being 99% sorc and pally to actually opening a lot of other viable build options without really changing the top tier picks which are still the same except mosaic
There are imbalances all over, there are so many ways to play the game and things to do. Just because it is cheap for their damage spike, doesn’t matter. A hork barb is the best MF character in the game based off ease of access in finding the proper game level and efficiency in results all while playing P1. Sorceress have a free teleport and cold sorceress has a free power spike as well. But the cost isn’t the issue, if the build cost to ohm runes it would still function the same way and do the same things. Obviously that is baring whatever the rune stat is, but I don’t think it is relevant for mosaic.
I don’t know which changes happened at which state of the game. I think the QOL stuff has mostly been good, but didn’t the game launch relatively in the same state of legacy?
Sunder charms are supported, because most people are idiots honestly. I get that they wanted that level of ability in controlling being able to break immunities, and what they wanted was right, the charms though were just a bad way of doing it. Though I’m sure there would be some salty ones if that ability was locked behind an expensive runeword, but I think that could have been a crucial part of progression and efficiency. I’m not sure exactly which version they should have gone with be it patching what an immunity is, fixing conviction to work equally for all types of res, or adding different runewords per damage type to get to that point, but the charms weren’t good. Also physical characters and magical got nothing, because they cannot expand upon breaking that immunity and the penalty for phsyical is too high.
I get accepting the best you can get, but if we’re honest nothing is going to happen in regards to mosaic.
Scroll down a bit and you’ll find D2:R. The last activity was on November 14, 2023, which if I recall was an update to a significant number of graphic files in the game.
So whatever upcoming bug fixes that Pez is referring to must have been done in house without Blizztrack getting a whiff of what is going on. They must be small enough to not need any realm testing.
It already works equally at least for elemental resistances only problem is that monster resistances doesnt work equally. Monster lightning resistances on hell difficulty are much lower across the board than both cold and fire with fire being the worst overall, on top of this fire res is the most common immunity on hell difficulty. There are very few light immunes on hell that cant be broken with conviction which are mostly only boss packs, fire on the other hand is quite opposite almost every mob u encounter with fire immunity cant be broken because the res numbers are too high
Correct I didn’t phrase that as well as I should have. My point was mainly that conviction could break all immunities OR that immunities were changed so -res could break them automatically, making conviction a bonus, but not mandatory. Just something better than stupid sunders.

Blizzard, please ban bots. It’s become a plague now. Freedom from bots was the only real reason why I invested so much time in D2R/
Yes kind of true but as a cold sorc u have access to tp from lvl 18 which makes it pretty ez to skip certain mobs. The reason i said fire is the worst is because its the most common resistance on hell difficulty and not only this but they also seem to have some of the highest hp too
Wishful thinking, would be nice though but probably not going to happen. Having actual admins banning people costs money and im pretty sure blizzard have no interrest in spending time and money on a game that probably already sold 99% of the copies its ever going to sell by now. Besides it makes more sense to only have occasional ban waves if u want to make money from people buying new copies for their bots. Noone would keep buying new copies if they get insta banned every time they start the bot

Definitely and also possible if blizzard would put in the time and effort, but this doesnt make money it costs money so never gonna happen

True except there is not alot of cold builds being played besides the cold sorc. Fire on the other hand have several builds for different classes (holy fire pally, fire trapsin, elemental druid etc.) and these have no access to tp unless they get enigma. Most of these builds were impossible to play on hell difficulty in LoD and i would say even the fire sorc was too restricted in farming locations due to the high density and numbers of fire immunes
Druid, Amazon and Necromancer do not have any movement skills, they are completely dependent on items.
true but we were just discussing elemental builds, more specific cold and fire builds and their limitations before and after D2R patches. The druid actually became much easier to playthrough the game as a solo player now than ever before and the ravens will easily carry u through normal and nightmare now and so will the fire skills if u like the piano playstyle of using several skills. Hell is a bit tricky though but if u combine tornado/hurricane with the summon trees wolves and bear it can be done solo without enigma or sunder charm. My favorit is getting my hands on a reapers toll if u get that one u can pretty much just go fury and walk through the game with ease with a hustle armour and some basic melee gear, i prefer using the wolves and bear too as meatshields. 20 point all wolves 20 point bear 20 point fury 1 point in all prerequisites and all remaining points go to heart of wolverine. Its safe and very tanky once u get the basic melee gear and can clear pretty much any area just dont expect light sorc clearspeed
Can we get a new ACT 6 - New Items - New Characters - New Skills - New Content - How about more New Stuff - Just forget about D4 - D2 works and should be expanded to like ACT 12 @blizzard
