I am not jealous of duping and botting scum players like you .
Yeah, not a duper or a botter. Solid ad hominem attack after a weak argument.
your problem here is that you don’t look at whole game, only on the part that you care about.
Ladders are there to compete in well “LADDER”. If there is no longer term competition (2+ weeks?), no team work included, and 2 builds in game that perform 30%+ better than others, no changes, etc. There is no reason to play the game.
We just had a discussion about game state after they’ve announced that there will be a reset. 300+ members discord, 30+ people engaged.
Most of us are hardcore OG gamers. Many won’t even start new ladder.
it was a team achievement. Houndreds of games, CS/baal grind, different strats, alot of loot sharing, etc. If you never were a part of a team I can only feel sorry for you.
I’ve completed grail on season 2 which was the last ladder I was racing on (#2 overall, #1 sorc). grail is nothing with TZs.
exactly, this is why 95+ should take longer
This is a RPG where you can prefer to do anything you want inside the game. I agree that the ladder race for some is what they play for, but it has never been the main goal for most. We used to have 6 month ladders that wound up with very few lvl 99’s. Meanwhile the competition lasting just an extra 10 days, doesn’t suddenly change the fact that after the first 99 nothing else matters. Like cool you did it, but you didn’t win. I do get that a lot of vets don’t like the changes I’m in the same boat.
Again being 99 is simply an accumulation of time spent, and being #1 on ladder is whoever managed their sleep schedule the best for the most part. Sure there are strategies and teamplay, and that is all cool and awesome, but the achievement itself is lame. Maybe if it was a race to 99 in the least amount of time spent in game it would last longer, but after that first person takes it all other team’s efforts are not fully wasted, but diminished.
You completed an entire grail in one ladder??? Really? I’m sure it wasn’t recorded at all right? I mean I’m not saying it is impossible, but props if you actually did it.
I’m fine with that, again I don’t care about levels, so that is one thing. But for solely the sake of 99 being more challenging I’m cool with it. I just don’t think it has the groundbreaking difference where ladders are suddenly better for so much longer.
I would love changes but good changes. not just “It anoys you? Here is a buff for you”. I don;t want changes that are only about killing faster, getting more loot or exp. this is lazy and kills the game.
If you get your lvl/gear earlier = you quit earlier. Or saying differently: Once you reach your goals you don’t have more to do.
Honestly D3 had better solutions for this. not anymore they also made everyone 1shot everything now.
You used to farm teams to later push solo GR150 and compete in leaderboards. there was a huge upside for playing in teams.
hah. not with TZs. but yeah, ladder race now is a clown fiesta.
it was not. and team felt that we are doing something fun. as you mentioned it’s aRPG and aRPGs are about grind. everything in any aRPG is about time investment so your point is not really valid.
EXP should be halved and we should be able to farm multiple areas at the time. they’ve added multiple ilvl85 areas just to make them irrelevant by anouncing TZ system. It’s enought to change exp brackets so we could benefit from killing enemies +/- 12 or even 15 levels + remove TZs from the game or just make them slightly better by keeping sunder drops on TZ only.
That way you can play waaay more builds, compete even without enigma that now is must have. basically build your character for the zone you want to play. Also we would be able to have few people pushing exp in same game, talking and in general playing together.
it was streamed on twitch. whole journey so there were people who seem me getting all GGs including eth man songs, 2 tyraels, griffon, DW, multiple DFs, astereon, etc. ofc noone kept track on low level stuff like cow king or other jank sets/uniques. Maybe there would be few small items missing at the very end of that journey.
Since TZs are “optional”, they should either do what I’ve described above or make them like in BTDiablo. P25+, way more auras, higher monster awarness, etc etc
Kids would cry tho no more free levels kekw
I think we agree here mostly. No need to just continually buff everything until it is far too overpowered. I think the progression system should have kept being along the lines of start → level and rush up → get items that get you functioing better in damage/res/fcr whatever → now you can focus in playing areas your character is good at in P8 → and if you want to go towards super end game and universal you needed some of the best gear. And obviously this would apply towards those going 99 somewhat. Regardless I think it was a long term progression arc that everyone should have shared. Meanwhile some builds because of how their abilities operate will never function at the same speed and some builds didn’t have issues finding ways to farm super efficiently even before late game perfection.
I mean in both scenarios it was exactly that. In the old system however it took longer, but the task was the same. I do agree that a few day ladder race to 99 is far less appealing. I also think that TZ’s are bad for the community and organization towards a 99 race, though there are plenty of other issues with TZs.
This is I guess very subjective, but lvl 99 is no different than COD 10th prestige. Just an accumulation of time for the most part. Being first has some acclaim, but it doesn’t even truly indicate team skill, just whichever racer managed their sleep and grind the best without making mistakes. If in the end there was something that would indicate that you were indeed most skilled it might be cooler, but it isn’t skill based really. If the race to 99 was based off who did it in the least time it would be far more of an achievement
Yeah which is cool still btw if you hit all the big hard to find items. But sometimes you forget one of those OR you’re missing the lower ones and that is where the grind comes in. Still it is cool you got close at the very least (b/c I know you possible could have got all the way there). I personally didn’t have that great of a ladder that season you’re talking about as var as versatility. No tyreals, no griff, but like 10 deaths webs and fathoms. Just poor RNG lol.
Oh I’m all for it a real challenging and crazy grind. I’m not sure if anyone really thinks the game is too hard, so I’m not sure if they’d cry, maybe after it was in place though. What is funny is that some people say the drop rate is too low, which even pre-TZ I found hilarious.
how’d that go? shipping stuff without testing it?
Not sure what do you mean.
I don’t see why you are so butthurt about 99 being an achievement and I would guess you just couldn’t achieve it.
We discussed mosaic enough, but you pretty much stand alone with your opinion on it being balanced and numbers clearly show the reality.
Your opinion on a lot of things seems to be “I don’t need/want it so it doesn’t matter” or “it doesn’t bother me so it’s fine”.
But the numbers prove you wrong.
Copium. This guy thinks getting to 99 is an achievement. It’s just an indication that you wasted some time.
Before, 99 was harder (AKA took longer: more boring) to achieve. Did it then, meh, wasted my time.
Before that, 99 was much much easier to achieve (AKA took much less time: less boring). Did it then too, meh, wasted my time.
People who consider leveling to 99 to be an achievement must have very empty lives.
dont say i dont told you a longtime ago s3
one more time i use to be right
i know for some of you is hard to admit
Where does RESURRECTED show Remaster??
Diablo® II: Resurrected™ is a remastered version
Resurrect:

“the deal collapsed and has yet to be resurrected”
Similar:

No contest, just sick of people throwing around the ‘remaster’ term, when the game is RESURRECTED which means new things could and SHOULD be put in to the game
But its not 100% the original is it? What is different now in LOD vs D2R? Has there been extra stuff added to D2R?
Come on ‘idiot’ it’s been ‘resurrected’ i.e. new stuff got added
What, everybody knows that it is a remaster and no remake lol
Where did I say remake…
So what is it when you say it’s not a remaster nor a remake?
