Season 6 false promises and lied to us again (What a shocker)

Well, the only person running the place seems to be Raymond the Janitor, everyone else seems to have moved onto more lucrative projects or left Blizzard entirely. I doubt you want Raymond rooting through the code with a dust mop.

But yeah, removing that overpowered screenbarf of a runeword would be a step backwards in the right direction.

I dont think the current Blizzard devs should make any changes to this old masterpiece of a game. If anything is to change they better hire the people that did the remaster to do it cause the current crew will just make a mess of it just like D4

It seems Blizzard has lost its touch with making good ARPG games… I think Brevik and Co. made sure to take their green notebooks with them when Blizzard North was shut down. All in all, Activision/Blizzard and a number of other game studios have prioritized quantity over quality. Crank out a bunch of mediocre games with subpar support instead of fewer high quality games with great support, just to rake in as much profit as possible.

at least give us some more character slots

Yeah problem with quantity over quality is that it doesnt fit the ARPG genre at all. Creating a casual ARPG doesnt really work for the fans of the genre cause casual usually means u are done with the grind within a week. ARPG’s are meant to be grindy and have long term goals and when u try to make it too casual the game has no longevity

Besides casual usually means the game looses depth too which is another important factor in a good ARPG

Not sure what your argument here is. Yea they said that but lets set the right expectation. Diablo 2 was a complete game back in 2000. Nothing needs to be added. Lucky they even added terror zones which to alot of purists , changed the original game too much.

I just want all the runewords added to NL. Pre launch Blizz said ladder runewords would move to NL, after the season ends, another lie. No lobby fix, no tcp/ip, no new content, and ladder only runewords well after the season they were added never moved to NL.

Here I was hoping that they would update ‘Mosaic’ to be a ‘Non-Ladder Only Runeword’. Given up hope that these scammers would ever finish their pre-release task of creating a functional chat.

Because they listened to people like me, who say there can be no changes.

Look what happens when they try… mosaic lol. They learned.

It’s a tapestry. You can’t pull on one thread.

Maybe they just ment that the old ladder runewords move to NL :face_with_hand_over_mouth:
In LoD we always had runewords that you couldn’t make in ladder and so in D2R now, simple.
As long as they don’t create new runewords (please not) I doubt it will ever happen.

It legit takes them adding a hero edited runeword or two to the game every season. An intern could keep the game updated every 4 month inbetween coffee breaks. It is a laughable joke that we get legit nothing.

But hey, the game is on sale again. Get it while it’s hot.

yeah, doing the changes really is easier
but there are some problems most people dont think about immediately

1- compiling the patch problably isnt that simple
2- the current version is “stable”, doing a small update just for the sake of it can cause more problems than solve
2- localization; d2r supports 11 languages (excluding english and spanish EU), so think about it, a single lamea$$ runeword they add will need to be localized

and dont get me wrong, i want updates too

wanna know what problably happened?
the OG d2r was working (not done) on most demands of the player base, such as lootfilter, stacks and so on, but the MS acquisition came and most if not all the team was laid off
so now the unfinished assets are still there waiting for a new team to come and finish them
now,
will blizz give d2r to any of it’s dev teams (is it already)?
I DONT KNOW!
rod fergusson is problably the guy who says who does what
so we should start annoying he
anyway, i just hope they resume d2r support in 2024
if they dont, offline and modding will remain the true d2r endgame

Everything with this company is such low effort.
They have people whose job title is “community manager”. And they make one vague comment a couple times a year.

These are probably full time positions. They’re clearly not managing the community… what are they doing? Where is everybody?? Lol

You mean the same people that post something then immediately lock the thread in multitide blizzard games? Yeah these community managers that are scared to hear what the community has to say. Hmm it is a thinker

I saw that too lol. You know… they would be celebrated if they kept in touch with us regularly, and were actually invested in the community a little.
Then they wouldn’t have to instantly lock their threads.

Kind of refreshing that it’s in multiple Blizz games and not just us specifically tho lol

Here’s me coming 8 months later to see if the new ladder has started… ahha no updates, nothing. What a sad state of affairs. Then again, I expected nothing more from blizzard. They don’t care about their games.

Candy Crush (or whatever is that crap called) gets more attention from them cause it makes them money.

An old legend like D2 that could be kept updating by mr. Llama alone for a couple thousand bucks a month? nuh-uh, nobody cares.

Disgusting.

They keep in touch with us to the degree that all info regarding the game does get posted. They’re not working much, so there isn’t much to say.

What you want them to respond to the general public? What good would that do? The meme ideas from players who struggle to get out of nightmare should be responded to? They should take the massive amount of abuse they’d for sure receive if they were available? What do you want the update to be? Hey, we’re doing nothing this month. Hey, this month continued nothing because there are no staff dedicated to this game.

And then what? Not only that but would the CM have any affect at implementing actual feedback? Are they going to pass on the message to the devs or whoever was in charge of the ideas that have been implemented since the game started? Sure there are some okay concepts that made it though, but as far as gameplay changes not one of them was good or fit the game. TZ’s, sunders, mosaic, PvP nerfs, melee changes those are the vast majority of the things they’ve done for the game and they’re all awful. Not in the sense that I cannot have fun with them, but in the sense that they’re bad changed to fix a problem OR are changes to a problem that doesn’t really exist. I can thank them for the cross server gameplay and the stash tabs though? I can remind them that any time spent on the things listed above probably should have been spent on making the game list better as well as the chat channels.

But that would be my “nice” post for them to see as a total evaluation of what they’ve brought to the new version of the game. Not that they’d pay attention because I assume they think they know what they’re doing, the CM, devs, leads all pretend like they do. In reality none of them were D2 players or designers to begin with. They were the budget team to remaster a game because there was already a blue print. Meanwhile anyone who actually had brains was working on other projects.

So again would the CMs being in communication really do any good?

D2Remaster
We didn’t get a new game, I don’t know what you expect. 90% of additional content sucks, they just should have kept the game as it was with modern graphics. Old game, modern graphics, why act like that lol
Just because we got a polished game that does not mean we should get more and more and more content. Are there remastered games in your mind that still get new content every few month?
Would still play D2 even if there wasn’t a remaster cause it’s a great game.
And just thinking about that developer who didn’t even worked on the legacy game making new content makes me puke already.
M O S A I C, no thx don’t need any more of this stuff. Revert it back to what it was, can only get worse if they bring new content…
