So I guess Terror Zone difficulty is increased today and I was excited for it, but it seems to be the same level as normal. I thought it would make the zones +3 levels or something which would also increase XP but it seems to be more like a /players toughness increase but without the extra XP or drop chances? Sad ![]()
The notification does say increased difficulty… not simulated Px…
I find it amusing that all the pro Px (only because “difficulty”) proponents are not on here posting in joy.
Rather telling.
I’m pro Px…why would I be posting in joy?
Anyway I just thought since terror zone difficulty is based on Level that increased terror zone difficulty would have increased the Level
I don’t know whatcha talking about but it’s definitely over tuned. I’ve tried on 92 char and 86 and merc is dying non-stop. Andy+Insight+Shaft/Corpsemourn. It’s not a fun mode at all.
Ok, it appears you are newer to this forum, so, my apologies.
There are a handful of pro Px forum members that overwhelming litter the forum.
They accuse others of being Bots or multi-account abusers.
A significant (all) of those folks pro Px - are for it to be implemented to “online”… several key proponents state it is on the premise they only want increased difficulty… whilst a great deal of forum members believe (know) all-they-want/their-true-intention - is an easy street mode to provide increased drops/exp. for their OP (cough bought) character.
There exists a split in the community between those who want items/experience to rain from the sky -vs- the folks that believe time, dedication, thought, stagey and teaming-up with friends should effect the drop/experience rates.
Yes, agree.
For regular folks that do not live and die D2R (aka, folks without a job/life) playing what essentially feels like P6-P8 - solo - as a solo self found character, is significantly challenging.
God forbid you are melee based during this “increased difficulty”…
This isn’t even really increased difficulty, it’s just “we jacked up the monster HP by a full difficulty level (e.g. Nightmare terrorized zone monsters now have Hell levels of HP as if you were in an mLV 85+ zone”. Basically they’re meat shields now and take forever to kill even regular monsters, let alone elites or bosses. This is definitely a “I’m skipping it” day for the event for most people after they discover this.
I understand this, I’ve talked about it here
I just don’t get why you said “I find it amusing that all the pro Px (only because “difficulty”) proponents are not on here posting in joy.
Rather telling.” First, because it seems there are very few people who even post on these forums (meaning idk who all these people you thought would be here posting about this day’s terror event, are), so idk what can really be told from that. And second, because today’s terror event isn’t related to Px far as I know, it’s just enemies are tougher without any extra XP or loot reward, like Px would provide.
I take it your point was supposed to be that some people argue for Px online purely for a difficulty increase, but that wouldn’t be possible anyway, as Px increases XP and loot drops too. Which makes that point moot/worthless anyway.
Anyway, I was just sad that it wasn’t a more Interesting Terror Zone event today where the levels are +6 instead of +3 (or whatever it is)
only pain, no gain. Another pranking day from Blizzard devs
Call it a day for those people that want increased difficulty, but for some reason can’t figure out how to do it themselves. (For example not using any 1.10+ gear.)
Don’t play if you aren’t up for a challenge. It’s just 24 hours.
It isn’t even a challenge, it’s literally just turning the monsters into meat shields. And anything stone skin and immune to your preferred element (e.g. frost maiden bowazon) is going to take longer than a WoW mythic raid boss to down, and probably a dozen or so quivers at that.
If they wanted to actually up the difficulty, they could leave the HP alone but make all elites Extra Fast + Extra Strong. That would constitute added difficulty while remaining fair to the player.
I just wish it had been like doubled terror zone level so if it would be normally terror zone level 95 it would be 98, or even if you’re max level 99 it could go to like 105 or something, would have been cool and also better XP sorta like the day before was 10% increase XP in terror zones which was ok
Did noone of you play the event? They escalated with bonux XP. I played P1 and could see my exp bar going up on nearly every mob.
It is MUCH more experience per run. During TZ andy yesterday i got 3/4 lvl on P1 and I am 93. It is ridicoulus how much exp you earn in these “harder” TZ.
Yes, you do get more EXP, but in most cases the excessively extra time spent taking down the monsters negates that bonus since you’d do it faster in a non-TZ area. The only time players will benefit from this is if they can one shot the enemies outright or come very close to being able to do so. Otherwise their time is better spent where they can kill more rapidly.
I did play it but I didn’t notice a difference. Maybe because I imagine my kill speed was lowered enough that it evened out to regular amount of xp? Though tbh I was getting less xp than I would have with regular terror zones, because of kill speed.
it was p1/p8 and they weren’t posting joy because they were playing the game unlike resident forum trolls whose loaders were rendered useless for 24 hours.
Telling players not to play your game for a period of time due to a non optional and bad mechanic choice, should never ever happen.
Don’t go driving on rainy days if your windshield wipers don’t work.
If you were the mechanic that broke my wipers, I would demand you give me a loaner vehicle, not make me sit at home when I have places to go.
One day/24 hours out of 365 days/8760 hours where there’s a minor boost in difficulty, during a time when the vast majority of people are enjoying the holidays anyway.
Boohoo, such an inconvenience.
