That’s true, but Countess is a special case. I can’t find it right now, but I think I’ve read that Countess is best killed alone, since increased player count and I think MF as well hinder her chances to drop runes. She has special drops.

The OP talks about SP, and how likely the Countess drops multiple runes. He is not asking about playing online and then trading gear with botters and dupers.
Also, as was mentioned in another similar thread, if your idea of “fun” is running the Countess repeatedly day in day out and effectively becoming a bot, that’s fine, it is your game and your time, but do not try to preach on others how “easy” it is.
That was just a few runs, I have done maybe 100s, but did not record it all. I can tell you however I never saw high runes, and certainly NEVER Um, Mal and Ist. Keys of Terror/Hate/Destruction go for 1 Mal = 3 keys. They do not seem to be extra rare. Or maybe the bots are at it

I have found within a day 3 mal, 1 um and 1 ist with less than 100 runs.
And for 3 days in row i got only 1 pul with roughly 2 hours each day. That was for online cause for SP since you can dupe everything, all you have is to find 1 rune. Dupe it to multiple and cube them.
For SP you can simply edit the save files and give yourself anything, any class, any level, any gear. heroEdit or something.
I’ve run 121 Countess, if someone tell me how to insert tables on this shi tty forum I’ll do that.

It happens. I get 1, 2 and 3 drops. I solo online play too. From my experience, they all seem to drop around the same if I were to average all my runs out. 33.33%/33.33%/33.33% 2 nor 3 have dropped more than 1 rune and vice versa.
Unless if you play on Switch, only thing you can do there is dupe
I don’t have much luck with her either. But after 100 or so runs I finally saw an IST rune. Now if I could only get the other two keys, I’d have a full set…

Was just arguing with a botter in another thread talking about 300+ hours of countess runs and nothing to show for it.
I told him he shoulda been able to cube it up. But I don’t think his bot is set to pick up all runes!!!
its just the amount of players. mf has no impact on base item drop rate, only what rarity they roll after they’ve already dropped. countess special TC is placed by her item TC, so the more items you drop, the less runes you get from her special TC. thus, less items = better for runes with countess.

no, the sweet spots are 3 players or 7 players in the game. running it as a duo doesn’t affect her drop chances at all, for runes or keys. 3 players increases the chance of getting a key along with an extra rune. 4, 5, and 6 players increases the chance of her other items getting magic modifiers or being rare/unique, but doens’t affect chances of runes or keys
7 players gives the best chance to get a key of terror, and an extra rune. an 8th player doens’t do anything at all to her drop tables, jsut gives her more health.
Its like this for everyone that plays fairly. There is a way to improve it, but I don’t think any QoL changes are coming sadly.

But if legitimately running, there is more than runes that drop that can be traded for runes.
Even with one player you get rune drops and decent item drops.
No, you don’t.
Unless thul runes are ‘decent’ drops for you.

highest i’ve gotten off the countess herself has been like a lem or maybe a pul, i can’t remember exactly.
i’ve gotten Sur and Lo from the ghosts on the 4th floor on my way down
I always kill everything on the way down. Gets you more experience and more drops!

you get about 33% less keys/runes
as i said above, if you do 100 runs(2-3h) a day its about a ber each 10 days
increasing this time required to 13-15 days bc the player wants to have a very low chance to roll a better rune from anything else is a waste of time
that depends on waht class you play and what gear you have. killing the things on the way down on my pally without teleport doesn’t slow me down at all, i just kill whatever gets in my way. on my sorc i still kill the ghosts because it’s literally just one cast of frozen orb
