Remove mules limit or increase stash immediately

So this week I was hit by an unexpected limit on bnet character one can create. I have characters for sets, gems, runes, jewel gems, uniques, runeword bases. I’m new to the game (in fact I played it 20 years ago but was too young to understand anything about it) and I want to collect at least every single unique since I don’t really know if they will be valuable for me or my future classes/builds. I don’t have duplicates and vendor any super-bad uniques but the ones I deem worthy I collect and move to my mules. I imagine most of the new players will also collect every unique they see drop until they can fairly tell them apart by value which is hard for newcomers.

Inspired by this thread which perfectly demonstrates that the current cap is just simply not enough: I'm running out of space. We need more tabs and several others. I don’t have PRIVILEGE to post in General Discussion forum because I own console version so I can’t comment on them and decided to create this petition thread for us console peasants.

I hope this thread won’t get buried under endless items sell spam which we have to endure because we don’t have separate trade forum for consoles.

Please support if you think that 20 mules is just simply not enough for a game where item collection and build experimentation is everything.

dude, just stop being a hoarder.
simple as.

theres too much trash sets / uniques that should literally go straight to the vendor, and sometimes, just give away excess items you DO NOT NEED.

No I won’t because if you read the OP there is a perfect reason for being a hoarder in a game made for hoarding and it worked fine in 20 years old game. Thanks for constructive feedback!

whatever justification you need, hoarder.

Giving away would be cool but you seem to be from PC forum if you think there is a lobby in console version of the game.

and what is stopping you from giving away stuff to any randoms you join with?

just cause we’re stuck with that awful matchmaking, doesn’t mean you’ll never encounter another player.

but, like i said, whatever justification you need, hoarder.

Of all the problems d2 currently has stash space is WAY down the list. And stash space far better now then it was. Sure you had infinite room to store crap but it was a pain to xfer and keep all those accounts straight.
And you have the option to get more stash space if you so choose. And it will not even be very expensive soon. With all the people quitting d2r and Blizzards apparent lack of giving a damn this game is definitely going to be in the bargain bin before xmas.

I completely agree that we need more stash tabs.

3 tabs is pathetic.

My current tabs are absolutely full to the brim. And I’ve had to sell a lot of good items I was planning on using on other characters because I’ve no space to store them.

I know it’s the ‘original d2 experience’ having limited inventory space, but come on blizzard … it would be a great qol update.

Imagine having to still manually pick up every piece of gold instead of just running over it… that was a great qol update and didn’t alter the game mechanics AT ALL.

In the same manner, increasing stash space will be a great qol improvement, and won’t alter the game mechanics AT ALL.

I don’t understand how people are opposed to this when the gameplay mechanics won’t change AT ALL … it will simply just mean that instead of people creating mule characters to hold their items and do tedious transfers; They will now be able to store and transfer items quicker and more efficiently via shared stash tabs.

I do not disagree that d2 has a lot of problems but it doesn’t mean that we have to ignore this urgent issue. Where are people suppose to store their items now? Yes right now. Some people managed to play and MF a lot of items.

They gave us three shared stash tabs. Why not more? They already have to store these items if we create mules. And they artificially capped the number of mules we can have. This attitude towards the player base is bad. I know they probably will leave the game as is because Blizzard is too poor of a company to develop game features but it hurts noone to post such a query. Especially when the whole forum is flooded with item trades and game changes petitions end up in garbage due to that.

This forum is also flooded with carbon copy posts just like this and the one you were inspired by…

Preach, brother!

O holy overlords, look down upon your unworthy console following and bestow but the smallest tokens of favor! Remember us kerns, many that were once D2 pc gamers as well. Grace us with the slightest of acknowledgments and light of your unending wisdom!

I’m perfectly fine with the great change they made. I lost so many items in the original, trying to trade from one person to another. And now that stashes hold twice as much, it’s an incredible change. Especially since we get 4 tabs. I’m fine with having 8 times as much space as I used to with the convince of not needing another to trade with my own items. This coming from a person who wants one of every item like my PoE char. Part of the fun is learning what’s worth keeping instead of stashing it to never look at it again. If it’s that meaningful you can always buy the $39.99 upgrade to have double your chars and stashes (another account). You can then rush your own chars, win / win.

This shows how short sighted Actiblizzard was in creating D2R. They knew hording is a major part of the game. But they gave us half of a qol solution.

I know there are bigger problems. But…those aren’t exactly fixed either. So we might as well ask for stuff like this. Actiblizzard might (?) throw us a bone to keep us placated.

The thing is they gave us half quality solution but removed the option of muling and capped max mules per account. Not to mention PC has programs to make muling easier.

Id love more stash tabs. Another game (wont say it) has a GREAT stash tab system… it allows you to stash all uniques (1 each) and stack “maps aka runes” and gems…

on the subject of collecting uniques… Could they change the hardcore character to 99 trophy to maybe unique item collector? I know some uniques are probably next to impossible to find but 99 in hard core is brutal!

That’s because of trading posts and people not being able to post in PC forum. I have done my job enough. If I didn’t see any posts about space problems under console general discussion is because of trading and segregation.

It does hurt someone. I can give hundreds of examples. Will use Borderlands 3 as an example. At a time when BL3 was so broke in so many ways there were posts just like this one complaining about a single boss that did not have a vending machine near him so people had to take a minute to leave and empty their inventory once and awhile while farming him. Next patch comes 0 problems fixed but that damn vending machine was put in the game.
In the end give us stash tabs who cares? I have 500 hours played yet have not played in 2 weeks because there is nothing left to do. Accumulate items? Why if there is new stuff for the ladder everything i have is worthless. If the more likely thing happens and the ladder is implemented as is with no change from normal servers I wont play anyway which means my items are worthless.
And like i said if you REALLY wanted stash space buy another copy of the game make a new account and there you just doubled your stash. Stash space might matter if the game is actually fixed. First and foremost is ladder and a reason to play it. Second is getting rid of pc players and items off the consoles was a horrible idea to implement crosssave. 3rd is fix the multiplayer and give us in game chat.

More stash tabs would be awesome, but i won’t hold my breath… and there are plenty of websites with information of what uniques are worth keeping. Not all of them are… some are hot garbage and not worth your stash space… same for set items… you have to learn to be more selective…

some most definitely are worth just vendoring for gold.

like for example, found a civerb’s ammy in hell crypts. sold it right to charsi.

I think it’s more challenging not having as many tabs. The original allowed for too much space in my opinion. Now, you have to think about what’s more important to keep.
