Over the last few days I have noticed that my character gets randomly re-positioned to a new location on the map during combat.
Has anyone else noticed the same thing?
I believe what you’re experiencing is desync, which occurs occasionally on battlenet.

I have had that issue many times and it happens a lot. I thought it was just lag at first but. I don’t think it is. I know when I lag and this feels much different.

I am very familiar with desyncing but this seems totally different. It is much more like I am teleporting.
Yes its a lag jump looks like a random teleport when playing.

I agree and I do not seem to be lagging at all during these times.
Maybe a combination of both? That could be part of it. Then again. I have no real idea lol. Maybe still in part to the server instability issues.

Yeah, it could be server-side. It would happen every once in a while before but after the latest patch it seems to happen a lot more.
This man has it right. It’s not lag. It is literally desynchronization.
Unless i missed something else in the thread, seems to be the discussion at hand though.
This is not new either, it can and does happen in D2. And POE, and others as well. Some just handle it a lot better.

Which means the mysterious ‘second queue’ is connecting people p2p?
Some kind of desynch but not one I have ever seen in D2LOD before. There is no rubber-banding or anything like that and it can happen when I am standing still watching my mercenary kill then Boom I am ‘teleported’ to a different place which is usually in the middle of a mob.
in soviet diablo, mercenary is YOU!

Yea, i wont ever use occy because of what was said above. It 'always lands me smack dab in the mid of mobs". Dumb thing.

I would rather it actually be from an Occy than thinking its the devs messing with me because I voiced my opinion about the crappy job they did on this game.

Happened in classic D2 as well. This is functioning as normal. Brings back the nostalgia.
