I tried quickcast on barb and sorc and i love it.
You didn’t understand what I wrote.
Maybe it’s because I’m not good at English.
Yeah this should have been fixed. How does one test this for more than literally 2 seconds and not see the problem with it stopping your characters movements.
I’ll say it one more time.
Do you think everyone will play in the same way as you?
Each person has a different preferred way of playing.
Then explain to me please Dont worry, my english is not good also.
Is the issue related to only auras?
Okay, thx.
Diablo 2 has two ways to move.
The first way is one click wherever you want.
The second way is to keep the click.
I love the second way because the fingers are comfortable.
If I use Quick Cast any skills(smite, zeal, charge and auras), I can’t use the second way.
I’m still pressing the mouse button, but the character uses skill and stops there.
I was reading it …
Sorry, I deleted it because I pressed the wrong button.
Well I think its how it should be tho? Because you holding button makes your char to use walk/run animation and when you use different animation(different skill), your character has to execute it so it is logical it stops.
Tell that to all the AoE players. I can tell you quick cast on Poison Nova is god tier. Pressing Lower Res then Hitting P nova is so smooth now.
oh I agree there are some benefits but overall still pretty meh to me. i use the controller when i play on my pnova nec, to me even better than quickcast
I know what you are staying the stutter between firing a skill etc etc is a little clunky but in the grand scheme of things. Its Not bad. At least from my experience so far.
No it doesnt, they just need to adjust it. If the old school elitist sorcmains stop being salty and come with constructive criticism instead im sure we all can make ourselves heard.
Aura dude… doesn’t have an animation. Do keep up
Yeah, just got home from work and experimenting a bit. For those that say quickcast is worthless on Paladin, you can still set hotkeys to your left mouse click and instant cast. Useful for 1 point wonders like Vengeance, or Smite on Ubers. I had to hotkey Smite after my first run, since Smite kept falling off when I died. Luckily, didn’t die to my next two Uber sets. I also love having the ability to set my TP and ID to hotkey (instant cast for TP is AWESOME), but the big cool factor is seeing the number of scrolls you have in your tome on the bar.
This will make gameplay smoother, especially for old switch skills you barely used before because it was too big a chore to swap the old way. It will take some getting used to though, but hey, the payoff will be worth it.
completely agree here to this point im using slow missiles and insight now on my java since its one click versus toggling
This is an issue that has been present since the game launched. It has to do with the strata level of the item nameplates being higher than the strata level of actual monsters. Item nameplates should ideally be one strata level lower so that monsters take priority and thus allow you to attack them if an item occupies the same exact location as the monster.
It’s a bug. Bugs can be fixed.
The reason quick cast was implemented is because the traditional method of hitting the keybind and then using the LMB/RMB for the skill was both cumbersome and for many players RSI inducing. The preventing the latter via an accessibility option takes precedence over your personal feelings about which is better. FWIW, you can still run without quick cast, so please do feel free to continue using the traditional method. Nobody will fault you for it.
But quick cast is useless for auras, as you never need to click to activate them. Just pressing a button turns them on…
The point of having an aura assigned to quick cast is so that when you need to change them, you can do so without interfering with your LMB/RMB setup. You don’t need to cycle from skill to aura to skill. For builds that have potentially situational aura use, this is a boost to their ease of use. While not the most common thing out there, it does exist and this simply takes out the middle man of having to do the ability/aura shuffle.
This issue is devastatingly frustrating when I’m an assassin and need to build up my charges.
