QOL: Display iLvl Please!

Yes please.

Big LOL to the guy saying confusing, go back to Diablo3 pls.

I can’t wait until D4 nears release so you busybodies can focus your energy on making that game suck.

If the new player is too stupid to see the difference in an ilvl 30 armor with 100 defense and 30 lightning resist and an ilvl 80 armor with 80 defense and 20 lightning resist, and thinks the ilvl 80 is the better, then they deserve to run around weak. Comparing stats in this game is not that difficult AT ALL.

Absolutely!

IDK how ilvl can be confusing. Unless u r too stupid.

Comparing actual STATs on the items is not confusing. ilvl can be ignored if you r new and don’t know what it is.

How would iLvl be calculated?

Nothing to calculate, it’s an already existing value that just isn’t shown on the UI currently:

https://diablo2.diablowiki.net/Item_level

The ilvl is a number that is used in many game calculations. In Classic Diablo II / Lord of Destruction, ilvl is invisible , but is usually equal to the mlvl of the monster which dropped it.

In the original game you could use third party programs or mods to show it.

Just search D2 Item Level and there are pages to tell you. You might already know it by alternate name Quality Level.

that’s redundant, max sockets are based on ilvl

Also add a distinct sound whenever a unique drops like D3?

Make unique drops visible on maps?

Its connected to the level of the monster that dropped it (which is related to the alvl of where that monster was). Its why the same pike will only get minimal sockets if dropped in normal compared to hell.

Yes they are based on ilvl but that does not help me if I haven’t learned that list - like nearly every new player.
It would make the game more accessible

I would prefer that for runes especially higher runes.
Or make then “alt” - key toggable.

Couple of tries? Got two or three high life rolls on my gcs past 3 months.

I think it would be a great add.

Confusing for new players? Maybe, but just make it a tickbox like other QoL changes.

Why does so many people come up with " probably confusing for new player "
who tf cares, new game new stuff to learn, if you new and wonder " what does that ilvl mean and why its important " then you just open google.com type “diablo 2 itemlevel” and find alot of thing about it
i wanna come up with the most stupid argument ever now:
Its 2021! Does mankind devulate?

Drop level could work, if a terminology change is really needed.

Great news - this was a thing in the Beta! On launch, go to your settings and change the function of Show Items to “Toggle”

Would def be helpful. Useful for selling unidentified items like “ilvl 99 pelt packs”

Thank you, I missed that news somehow

Yeah ILvl would helps a lots on crating and what white to keep
