Played the game all day yesterday. Lvl 20 assassin in act 2. Stored and organized class specific items within multiple tabs of shared stash. When I logged in today, all my shared stash items are gone. Main stash is fine and inventory is fine.

Exactly the same is happening to me
I’m playing on PS5
Playing Offline mode
I also do not have the same toon online I only had at the time 1 offline toon.
Because of this I created another offline character to keep my extra loot
I just went in again after a view hours and my shared stash is empty again for some reason I only have one item left.
This is still happening to me.

This happens because you have a character with the same name in online and offline. (They have acknowledged this bug)
Same happened to me. 10ish rejuves on one stash tab and alot of chipped gems. Gone. My toons do not have the same name either.

I got the same issue on PS4. Barbar Act 2 Offline. All my legendary stuff has gone and a lot of jewels and potions.
same bug. Im freaking p*ssed. In act 2, put 2 10k items I planned to keep til act 3 to see how much they are really worth, just gone. also potions and runes. 
I kinda feel like giving up and just downloading the original on my computer and playing that. On ps5 currently. One character. offline. assassin.
are they going to fix this? how was this not caught in debugging? did they even debug this game before launch???

Tech Specialist Lorrothir at your service. Thank you for reaching out to us. I know it’s not easy to have items go missing while trying to share them between characters. I’ll do my best to help go over the situation.
So far this is the first report I’ve seen of the issue. I went ahead and created a tracking internally so that if any other similar reports come up they can be handled appropriately, and so that if there does turn out to be some sort of game bug then our developers have the info they need to investigate and resolve the issue.
Please bare in mind that any resolution from Dev would be an update to the game and it would most likely not restore any lost items. Hopefully the problem was just a one-off but if it continues to happen please dont’ hesitate to reopen the request.

you need to log a ticket I logged mine under mobile because they do not have a console section
I lost my items 3 times, that’s so annoying… Did they even plan fix or patch in nearest future? It makes no sense of playing in this state.

No, the stash disappearing is a different bug. What you are thinking of is characters disappearing. But the shared stash being wiped happens no matter what. I have only ONE character, it is an offline Paladin and I can’t put anything in the shared stash because it disappears. I have never made any other character either online or offline yet.
