Blizzard has a feature for D2R that makes games appear on the list only within your local IP region. Since I am in the Seattle area, I can only see games in Washington, Oregon, and BC. This makes sense on expansion because it is so populated, but this is extremely detrimental to the classic community as we can’t find anyone to play with. The only way is to ask around on jsp forums and it is challenging and gives little reason to play. For my particular region there’s basically never anyone playing that I can see.
The simple solution is to disable the local region IP filter. Make it so that you view games from all over NA, or EU etc. Without changing this, classic is on absolute on its last breath
PLEASE FIX

Needs to be for all game modes, non classic is hurtin for new games in the list too.

Agreed with Kevin, this should be done for all game modes. I don’t mind a miniscule amount more ping to defragment the player base/lobby list.

Imagine it in a few years when the player population drops off.
Even LoD will have the same problem.
They really need to fix this.

Anything that limits what games are showing should be disabled. At least for North America. I’m sure there are sooo many more games that would show up on the list it’s frustrating.

Yeah. I’ve been playing every few days since launch & only managed to actually join a game maybe half a dozen times. Seeing anything in classic is rare.

Take off the auto region filter and let the players use their own filter.
Show all Global games vs local/best connection only.
Devs need to stop making decisions for players and let us control.

I agree. Can’t they just group them by larger regions such as the old U.S. West and East etc? Just show us any game within the subset that we choose? Basically, give us a way to filter games ourselves.

Hopefully lobby QOL is one of the things that are addressed next.
- Search box to find runs such as Chaos
- Games filtered by ping and most recent
- More channels (lobby trade chat connected to game trade chat would be amazing)
- etc etc

Couldn’t agree more…
It doesn’t make sense what so ever.
Hope they’ll fix this before Ladder

im glad people are starting to care, it seems to effect LOD more now that the player base is slowly getting lower.
its been like this on D2R Classic since day 1 and they havent even responded to the flood of posts… but they will respond to posts about how the amazon looks and shared stash. blizz devs are beyond a joke

I see no news regarding this. If i look how uber is handled now i have even less hopes.

Man how long will Blizzard keep ignoring this issue? The game is literally unplayable on battle.net if you want to play with other people, unless you use things like jsp or discord to find games which is just a hassle.
It would be so nice if they even acknowledged this issue sooner rather than later. How do they not realise they are losing players daily because of this issue. People log in to play, see zero games every time and eventually give up. It’s a joke.
