Yes you’re right. Ploot affects you and I was wrong. Since threads are being made about ploot and you have to see threads, you are affected. Got me.
Sounds like ploot is an option you would stay away from. And that’s fine. But that’s not an argument for why the option should be disabled for everyone else.

ahh sarcasm, still dont want to realize this will affect FFA games as well? thats because you arent open to an honest convo as you have shown.
the only way it would be acceptable to me then, is if you NEVER see what the other person gets, because what if they’re getting all the good RNG and you get all the crap ?? just the way loot works in this game, splitting it up properly would be a nightmare, more RNG is not what diablo 2 needs.
thats not an argument for why it SHOULD be changed. saying it wont affect you (or enough since I hope you realize it will) isnt an argument for making a change. there are plenty of things that wouldnt change the way I play but doesnt mean they should be implemented. the onus is on you
I mean, you have to see bers drop when everyone’s clicking and you don’t get it anyway. Not much difference here. You just lost the RNG, that’s all. Live another day. But hey, maybe a system where the items never show is better. Haven’t really thought about it much.
Additional options like this are not game changes. If you don’t want to use the option, then simply don’t use it. It has no meaningful affect on you. It’s as if you are saying a colorblind option changes the game. Nonsense. Just don’t turn it on.

it’s true many moons ago i helped create and fought for the very system he speaks of. I can vouch Bodach was a anti plooter until the finer details were worked out. theres many threads about this. I still say they should try it on a PTR like they have other ideas because im sure it will be well received

so you dont seem to get it, its up to you to prove why to change. not “it wont hurt you so it should change” thats not a logical reason FOR change.
It’s desirable to a lot of people, and doesn’t meaningfully affect anyone who doesn’t want to take advantage of it.

In order for your fair scenario, Blizzard would need to provide perfect game stability and connectivity and guarantee that no bots are able to run in public games. Since this is not possible I think we should all compromise. I agree with OP however I do favor instanced loot as it’s easier to copy and paste on to D2R.

No, it will bring people out of solo mf games, which is currently the only rational way to MF, and into public games where MFing there becomes viable. Your version is the actual divider of the player base. There will be MORE public games. Games that otherwise would have been solo games.
The only reason people team up publicly, really, is baal running and rushing. Those don’t go away what so ever. This just brings people OUT of solo games. No one is doing public group games to MF right now.

Everyone having an equal 12.5% chance to get assigned the Ber rune needs an explanation to you as to how that’s more fair than “it dropped next to Quicky McGrabbyhands even though Nuker McPing in the back did 90% of the damage”?

this is a purely opinion based idea. there are both reasons to be for and against it being added. suggesting everyone with the alternate opinion is irrational is insane. thats my argument because of how the OP started this thread.
