Ploot is really about

You say :100: but just got done saying blizzard north didn’t even exist yet. So which one is it?

It is 100%.

Brevik’s and the Scheafer brother’s company Condor was purchased and renamed as Blizzard North by Blizzard Entertainment’s former owner [Davidson & Associates] about nine months before the release of their hit PC game Diablo.

:100:

At that exact moment the company was called Condor and he misspoke by calling it the Blizzard North team, because they were not yet the BN team. Though they did become the BN team during the development of the game. None of which is relevant to the fact his team changed it no one else.

No reason to try and invent facts for your defense against Ploot.

You think Blizzard is doing well with their customers and employees?

No lol he’s absolutely right. From a PR perspective he committed suicide though, would look kinda awkward if they went “kay dad we’ll listen to you”

Why do you think he wasn’t consulted for the server issues, as he hinted.

So who’s idea was it originally to change it to an arpg from turn based that started this whole ‘vote’ to begin with?

Guys mostly retired just working on his solo projects and made plenty selling the company.

Pretty sure he just got enjoyment out of calling Blizzard out for sucking.

Ahhh that was my mistake, I thought you meant us the players who shouldn’t listen to him and not Blizzard

What if PLoot is actually not at all about people wanting loot shared evenly, but instead, its a psychological issue, deep within, as you see someone else grab that Jah! NO!, that was mine!.

Deep thoughts by Jack Handy - lol, j/k, anyone remember that, is it still a thing?

Apparently the thread has diverted to refusing to admit when your wrong about a factual events.

Meaning it’s beyond pointless, enjoy all.

No problem, I love the man, but can’t be surprised nobody consulted him after saying he would never want to be associated with Blizzards name ever again.

That’s a little too much for someone with that many followers.

I get it though, it’s like seeing your baby destroyed it must hurt for any creator that lost ownership of their product and look at it getting shredded to pieces.

As the leader and President of the company that he founded, he sought feedback from others. He was the one who put it to a vote, since it was his decision to make and he wanted to get feedback from the team as a whole.

He said that in response to the Califormia legal action happening. D2R was already well into development by then and they could have contacted him prior to the lawsuit. Apparently, they did not contact him or anyone who worked on the original including the net code.

It must feel horrible to just have to watch what people are doing to their work yes, but what heavily outweights it - I think - is the fact that there were and are tons of people enjoying what he and his team once created.

And yeah what we’ve got now is worse in some parts, but better in others - but overall we’re “pretty much” playing what he and his team created

I know this. He was also vocal when D3 was released and expressed his disappointment, or “mixed feelings”. That was bad press for Blizzars, before even a hint of sexual harassment existed in the public sphere like 6 years ago.

If you think about it, the only Blizz games that still have success in 2021 are the games none of the new developers worked on, pretty much.

David Brevik have said many things. people just take what they like and make it fit in what they like.
he said he would, and he would not, and he is not sure. The pro plooters just only say the one wher he said he would.
:100:

and btw. who cares, what one person said once… it really dosent matter.

He said if he could go back in time, he would change D2/D2:LoD to instanced loot instead of FFA loot. In relationship to D2R, he said that Blizzard has his blessing to add optional instanced loot and should consider it. He said that he is not sure if he or Blizzard should implement it in D2R.

This is not hard to comprehend and he has been internally consistent. We know the facts. Do not pretend his comments were wishy-washy but in regards to different questions.

The worse of the misinfomration is coming from others who claim that ploot means account bound or 8x more total drops or that David Brevik would be horrified at the idea of adding an alternate loot allocation system.

The truth matters.

its not for you to dicide what people think p-loot/instanced loot is. people have many ides.
if they read people said this or that. who are you to say thats not what people want.

People may vary in how they define ploot; however some definitions are categorically and undeniably wrong. Ploot = account bound is categorically wrong. Ploot equaling 8x drops is categorically wrong.

If I were to say that FFA loot means account bound, you would tell me that I was wrong.

If I said FFA loot means 1000X more loot than ploot, then you would also tell me that I was wrong.
