Please stop punishing and discriminating non-ladder players

Here’s the problem with that mentality;

  1. you do not own anything in this game. It clearly states it in the EULA. You own a license to play said game, not own anything, including your own account. They may revoke it at any point in time for any reason they deem.

  2. The “I paid for it” mentality actually doesn’t work in the games industry. This industry is not a toy, there is no ownership, only intellectual property. Play and be entertained as they deem fit, or don’t play it at all.

  3. Your money , should you choose to not work for it, actually is worth less than the money of those who do work for it. Yes, money is the same in that it’s 15, 30, 40, whatever denomination, however, if you as a customer started causing problems, your money is worth less than the people who do not cause problems. Businesses will not tell you this to your face, but their actions actually indicate otherwise in most cases. The story behind and reasons behind and around the money being spent are just as important.

This is how the game breathes, or else it dies in the multiplayer facet.

No, it means people have a victim complex and keep trying to think they, who do not work, are in the same boat as those who do work.

  1. I paid for all the content of the game. I never said I owned the game nor implied that I did.
  2. They don’t get to dictate how I play the game after I pay for the content unless, like I said earlier, it has a negative effect on the game as a whole… like cheating.
  3. You need to clarify this point because it sounds like a lot like a nothing burger.

I am really trying to see the point of the ladder thing getting “special rewards”. The fact that I now cannot access content that others can because I don’t have time to constantly restart from level 1 just makes me (and I would be willing to bet MANY others) want to quit… and if that is the company’s goal, bravo blizzard, your brand continues to sink to new lows.
Besides that, do ladder players care if everyone has access to all content? If so, why? Why would the “power player” for lack of a better, term even care that we, level 50 after 6 months slugs, have access to upgrading green sets or the newest rune word??

At best it seems petty. At worst vindictive.

You paid for all the content and you have two ways to enjoy said content.

  1. Play ladder and enjoy the content

  2. Wait until ladder ends and enjoy the content on NL.

Paying for the game doesn’t mean you get access to all aspects of it when you want it though. Just like you can’t get dclone in your Normal game, just like you can’t equip a level 95 item at level 30, just like you can’t use assassin skills as a sorc… and just like you can’t use new ladder runewords in non-ladder until ladder has finished.

You just sound entitled to be honest.

You must never play original D2 LOD…they have had ladder-only items since 2005. You paid for the game, and they have already delivered the whole game to you, complete. They are adding things onto the game to incentive players to play ladder. You do not lost anything because you have already gotten what you have paid for: a complete playable game.

Stop being a greedy Karen

What’s stopping you from making a ladder character?

Maybe Diablo 2 isn’t the game for you if you can’t invest the time it takes to level something up?

Why are you unable to play ladder? This is like saying “I decided I don’t like act 5 so I’m never going into it. Also Why does everyone else get to fight Baal?? that’s not fair, people who like Act 5 did not pay more than I did, they should put Baal in Act 4 where I can fight him”

MP problems/benefits are not related to ladder

???

thats all that needs to be said about the ladder
anything else is pure rhetoric to keep benefits

But you refuse to play 100% of it. How is it the games fault that you don’t want to play 100% of what you paid for?

If you don’t attempt to the trainings, you won’t play a match. Pretty trash comparison buddy.

Exclusive content has always been a part of Ladder! Be thankfull that you can make Grief Dream Faith on NL D2R because those are 100% Ladder only on D2LoD!

lol yes thx, I knew something was odd, but I couldn’t point on it.

I am non-ladder player too, but I can understand that they make ladder runewords to keep people interesting in playing ladders. However once the ladder is over the new runewords will also come to non-ladder which is awesome, this wasn’t the case before , I am happy that they changed this

That doesn’t make a lot of sense, because most ladder players don’t do it for the extra items, but for the fresh economy.

There is not a single reason to punish non-ladder players.

You choose not to take part in the ladder, thus you do not get the rewards for participating in the event. This is not punishment.

It doesn’t matter the reason ladder players decided to take part in the event. The reality is that ladder exclusive is the reward from blizzard to reward those who take part into this event. Period

Players in non-ladder?
Oh no, they are real

there are more players in non-ladder, than in ladder, what are you on? lol

The only thing fresh and economy means to me is easy JSP FG. Shako is about a Jah at start of new ladder, 3 months in next to worthless! Come on people it really is getting old. Hurrrrrr economy, hunnnnnhhh Tals Armor, shhhh Shako, Whispers EnIgMa, must start over, fresh EcOnOmY. This time its gonna be different. This time I will Jah Ber so hard! Get real.

The actual reason for the Season is to be the first to level 99. Thats it. Blizzard does not care about the EcOnOmY of D2R. Good items should be rewarding to find, not given out because you want them.

So, you’re playing ladder on the streets with a runner outfit and not at home in front of your PC or in a Pyjama on your couch?

Sry but that’s so insane ridiculous :joy:

Please provide proof, that the absolute majority of players, you sound like it’s 98% ladder players and 2% non-ladder, are ladder players.

The game isn’t kept alive because of ladder, it’s alive since 20 years because it’s a good game.

If you want to have proof of how wrong you are, just completely read my post and look at the poll I posted

the question is not the reward it self or its objective

the question is

why does ladder players feel entitle to any “rewards”?
or
why does ladder players feel they need any incentive in order to play LD?

keeping the same for the sake of keeping the same?
