I believe that most would love it if we had the option to disable immunities in D2R Hell difficulty when playing solo. Immunities were added to encourage group play, but it breaks a lot of solo players builds. Most people don’t go online and pre-plan builds, no should one have to. Immunities are punishing for the wrong reasons and QoL feature to disable them would bring a lot of new people to the game and have a lot longer lastability for the game.
Builds will be more flexible and we will have tons more build diversity instead of being forced to use certain builds as well. It opens up this game to be so much more fun and amazing to play.
Gaming forums tend to usually draw in those most engaged with the game. The people saying that immunities make the game “challenging” are more than likely in a vocal minority as it is.
Thank you.

Absolutely not. The game is easy as it is. This will never happen.

I’ll have to disagree with that friend.
The more flexibility build options, the better.
Besides, it would be an optional toggle. What’s the issue?
There’s lots of mods available for you to play if you would prefer.
May I suggest googling: noob diablo2 easy mode mod for children and noobs v3.12.

Here you are, once again wanting the game to be made easier. Make it easy on yourself, go find another game that is easier for you to play.
You’d probably enjoy Diablo 3… It’s easy to gear up, it’s easy to find that sweet spot of difficulty where you can both blast through enemies and make items drop like rain.

Well it’s irrelevant to difficulty
Immunity isn’t a difficulty factor
It’s a tedious and boring hurdle
It’s not even a challenge
Immunity should be nuked and replaced with a real challenging mechanic

I believe it should for online as well my friend. Make it more accessible for those that one to solo while having access to their characters always being stored on their servers and such.
Online immunities are overcome by working as a team.
Have you beat hell baal yet? Once you do, some of your opinions might change. You might not be able to do it with a zealot… Try it with a meta character… it is still not a walk in the park – you have to plan an alternate form of damage one way or another.

Online games shouldn’t force you to play with other people
Some people play online for many other reasons than playing with other people

Yeah but I don’t want to be forced to play with others.
I don’t see the issue in playing with a toggle option to enable or disable them. It’s 2025 and games don’t cater to a minority of super hardcore players anymore mostly.
Also if one wanted immunities they can just toggle the option on. So it doesn’t really effect purist players.
Games well balanced so you can also handle immunities solo. Get over it.
I already told you, you can download lots of modded versions of the game. I think you’d prefer the one where you step out into the blood moor and insta win.

I’ll have to disagree with you there friend. It would be a toggle option for those that want it or want to play it with immunities, so it doesn’t effect you at all.
There should be no issue.
Also, it’s pretty easy to win in Blood Moor since it’s a starting area. Do you have issues there by chance?
It’s just a bad design that brings no fun value
Which is why almost no other arpg did it afterwards, the closest thing was « resistant » which leaves them still killable

Pretty much this. You brought up a great point on why ARPGS afterward never did immunities like D2 did. They realized it limits build options and severely limits flexibility.
Your opinion doesn’t matter, since you claimed yourself that you don’t want to engage with the game and you want to play plenty of other games.
So just move on. Games should not be balanced or patched for lazy casual gamers, that don’t want to think. That’s for gatcha games.

There are three difficulties in the game… Normal, Nightmare and Hell. If Hell is too difficult for you, stick with Normal and Nightmare.
Not everyone is cut out for Hell difficulty… That doesn’t mean the bar needs to be lowered for everyone else just to accommodate you. Stop being selfish.
Stop listening to Anu (AKA Sekscalibure), he’s another one who thinks the game is too hard and wants it turned into noob playland without any challenge.

No thank you. I believe Diablo 2 would be great again without the immunities. It takes an already fun game, and makes it more accessible and better. Besides it would be a toggle and not manditory, so there should be no issue.
Most other Arpgs never brought this immune for all monsters, mechanic back, and for a good reason of course.
That’s only one reason, why nobody can take your suggestions seriously… Kinda like Sekscaliburs crap ideas…
Most ARPGS aren’t good and D2 still has some GOAT like status.
We can talk, when you can beat hell without guides and help from all sides.
But people say that you only beat the game when you finish Hell. I think that having a lot more builds being able to do this is a great thing.
It’d also be optional, so there should be no issue. It wouldn’t effect you or any other purist.
There is a lot you don’t understand about Diablo 2. Let me respond to one thing:
Diablo 2 is the greatest game of all time. I play tons of other games, and none of them give the kind of enthralling pog gaming experience Diablo 2 does on ladder season start.
I’m not the only one who thinks this too. The game is immensely popular.
So if you are coming to conclusions that x and y should be changed based on a few hours of struggle-filled experience with the game, then that is a reflection of your own noobishness and poor taste.
