Players 8 for Online

Hey everyone,
some may remember me, some not, but that doesn’t really matter. I’ll go into a few points that i picked up while reading through this “discussion”.

I don’t think it’s necessary to add the /players 8 option on bnet.
Looking at the ladder now, we can see the TOP 100+ characters on level 99 already. More come in on a daily basis. Some of those characters got to 99 within the 1st week of the ladder. I have to guess here but at least 10 characters were 99 within the 1st week, maybe even more.
IF you really want to reach a certain level, maybe not 99, then there are plenty ways to get there in a reasonable time span. There are effective routes that we can run to gain a reasonable XP / hr, espacially in TerrorZones now. Some areas maybe better than others but generally speaking you get to 80+ within 3-4 days. And that’s playing solo and less than 18 hrs a day. I don’t see a valid arguement in “more XP” after seeing it on streams and after playing ladder myself. If they do it for that reason then they’d rather sell a character boost.

In terms of loot i can’t really agree with the fact that this is even an arguement for /players 8.
Some say the drop rates are scuffed because based on their personal expirience they didn’t get the drops they wanted. To be fair, most of the people are looking for drops like high runes and decent bases for end game runewords.
In fact runewords are commonly used for gear anyway and therefore most of the loot that drops is being ignored anyway. Most of the items are not even identified or being picked up.
For gloves, belts, rings, amulets and boots there are usually specific uniques that people want for their specs or yellow items with certain rolls like Faster Cast Rate, + to Life, + To Skills, + Mana, + Resistances or Magic Find.
Any low budget character can easily craft amulets and rings and get a decent one for their specc. You don’t even need a character in hell to do that.
How much more unnecessary loot drops do you need that simply clutter your screen?

The increase in chance you get from a 8 player game vs 1 player game can literally be ignored and is not really worth to go into more detail there. Doesn’t matter if it’s 1:55.000 or 1:50.000 for BER rune for example. It literally does not matter at all. Some get it day 3 and others don’t get it all and those are the ones complaining or simply try to trade instead. I’ll leave at that…

BattleNet is a online multiplayer platform and implementing the /players 8 command to multiplayer defeats the whole purpose of the platform. In fact it would be like creating a multiplayer game with max players set to 1.
What’s the point of a multiplayer platform where 8 players can actually play together in a game if there is such “option”?

After all i didn’t see any real arguement why /players 8 should be implemented in the online multiplayer mode of the game but feel free to post them here “again”.

Cheers!
