Pindleskin in Hell seems broken… Only dropping Lvl 20-30 gear… This is after the lastest update 1.0.66606…wtf is going on?
Nothing is broken, he can drop almost anything, level requirements on items do not matter.
yeah i get that but ive been killing him for days and its changed since update…
Tell me you don’t understand RNG without telling me you don’t understand RNG.
Man i’m gonna blow your mind. You can kill hell baal and get a lvl 10 unique item off him
Haha I got The Diggler from him once. What a grand prize.
His drop rates are pretty terrible actually but he can drop almost every item in the game… Eventually
If you can do him quickly, it’s worth including in your MF runs because he can drop some rare items, but to farm him exclusively will drive you insane.
pindleskin, mephisto and andariel were only popularized from bot programmers who were looking for certain mlvl monsters with easy pathing that had fewer interactions that would be met with potential automation issues. for some reason regular players have adopted this system of performing kills that bot programmers deemed easy to assault. you should not be using a 2003 version of diablo automation that is contingent on the efficiency of NOT PLAYING THE GAME to excite your attempts of finding items. this is not a healthy way to play the game.
Andy though is actually pretty solid for drops because shes easy to get to, has increased chances at rings and ammys and with D2R they fixed an unintended bug and actually increased her drop chances to match her quest drop chances (people originally thought Quest bugging her made her better but in reality Q bugging was just fixing what was suppose to be already and the real bug was her non quest drops had lower chances) this was confirmed by blizz dev
agreed. there is a reason that bot programmers chose the monsters that they chose; that being that the drop rates were preferential to killing them often but it is based on automation and not playing the game. they work for a human in the same way that they work for a bot but you are in charge of your own personal time and have to live it in real time as a bot can run x amount of runs as you sleep without the hardship of doing the same action over-and-over. it’s not a productive way for a human to play the game but it can be productive if you have no expectations of finding something every 3rd game.
i got a mavina’s chest piece from him earlier.
The problem with this is that it actually is more productive than “playing the game” if your goal is to get good gear vs time invested as its still a higher chance of getting better items doing these runs than just killing random monsters walking around in random places, hence why humans adapted these runs because its less time of their life spent locating items that they want in shorter amounts of time.
tell me a better quick mf run than doing eldritch > shenk > pindle > Pit if you do not have access to teleport.
takes me like 10 minutes to get to andy and meph usually because i havent found a jah rune yet.
Naj’s staff has teleport charges, or act 3 on normal + you can buy staffs with teleport charges, or … you can make a sorc for running MF runs or you can craft other items with tp charges (i believe some helms and rings) or try trading for TP charges items … there is several ways to get access to TP that range from cheap to expensive that isnt Enigma.
I also havent found anything above an ist, but i can MF run easy
I am really bad when it comes to switching gear and i dont like playing sorc. This still doesnt really come up with a better run. I can do a run of all those things in under 10 minutes. I am a warcry barb with 440 mf. I get plenty of drops but without teleport theres really not a better path. I could do Worldstone runs i guess.
I mean you being bad isnt the problem with the games time to complete stuff, thats your own skill hampering you. Also Trav (council) is literally at the WP and they have very high / good drops too. chaos and worldstone are both level 85 zones so anything can drop from those mobs.
But im a cold sorc, with bad merc gear, countess is easy rune run but i cant farm her on my sorc, doesn’t stop it from being a good way to get mid tier runes fast overall. i would jsut have to play something else to do them or get better gear.
absolutely untrue. i’m f******* rich from opening chests, killing unique mob bosses and walking dense monster areas without teleport. maybe 5% of anything valuable i’ve ever found has come from a bot-popular boss. as i’ve said before, the EFFICIENCY, EFFICIENCY, EFFICIENCY of doing these types of runs are based on the fact that they happen when you are not playing the game. if YOU ARE PLAYING THE GAME, doing pindle for 5,000 runs and finding one item is going to drive you mad. there are 10 areas in the game where you can experience diversity and fun and can provide exceptional gains of item finding compared to making yourself crazy by hoping for a ber run in your 2,309 pindle game after getting 3 rare circlets and bad rare rings
yeah but i gurentee you dont run bosses / those areas the same ammount of times.
thats like saying i get more drops on my sorc than i do with my necro but only played my necro like 8 hours and my sorc 30+
If you were to do the boss runs the same ammount of HOURS as you did the big zone areas i bet you would have more uniques. again this is if the goal is for uniques and sets ect … if your goal is Runes then mob farming is more lucrative. its all based on what the aim is. for a human player if the goal is uniques and sets then boss running is faster for items per hour than mob farming.
But you have to do equal farming on both in hours you can kill a boss faster than you can clear a zone most of the time
Trav is actually hard for me to kill because my merc cant live through hydras all the time. as a warcry barb one of them being immune to physical is a bit of a pain also. But aside from trav, theres nothign as effective as running those 3 because of their proximity to a WP. i can kill eldritch shenk and pindle in under 2 minutes which is about 15? level 85+ mobs in the time it takes to do 1 pit run and i dont have to deal with actually running to and finding the pit either. When i said bad at switching i really meant too lazy… id rather run my 440 mf with 105 fcr bp and 52% FI chance than switch to my 600 mf weapons and have super slow cast times on FI with only 47% chance.
