Partial refund for lost time, items, characters?

So if a restaurant gave you food and mid-way eating that food they just come out and take it away you think thats acceptable and wouldn’t demand compensation ? Dude you need to think more highly of yourself as a paying customer.

That’s not the same thing at all. You can still play. Nobody took D2:R away from you.

I don’t know how many levels you lost, but it’s not a big deal. If you were in game leveling instead of being here complaining, you’d probably be very close to where you were.

I could expect this from a multi dollar company. Not Blizzard anymore.

As much as I want to criticize game companies for failed launches, and not delivering tested products, and the rollbacks deserve a lot of criticism, getting partial refund for this would be a bit extreme.
WoW has compensated with extra subscription time sometimes as far as I recall, but there you are also literally paying for the hours.

What Blizzard should of course do, and I assume they do, is offering refunds for people who have been unhappy with the launch day performance.

This.

If they told you you could come back the next day and get a new meal?
And the thing is, as said above, Blizzard do offer you compensation. You can likely get a 100% full refund.
But you want both a refund and the ability to still play the game afterward. Which would also not happen at the restaurant.

But how do I know it won’t be reset tomorrow again? Back to square one. That’s why I want compensation.

Then open a ticket and try to get the full refund, but know that when that happens you don’t get to play anymore unless you buy it again.

I know I can get a full refund but that’s not the question. I’d like to get PARTIAL compensation back. I have had plenty of restaurants mess up 1 part of my meal and I just ask for a refund on that part of my meal, not the whole bill.

I think you’re being difficult for the sake of being difficult.

Nobody here can help you. Open a ticket and take your chances. Most of us have already told you that it is unlikely to happen.

Most of us here are sane and know that sometimes things happen and life goes on. As I’ve said previously, you could already be back to where you were. I don’t think you lost any items worth writing home about in the short amount of time you played.

Just go level and get over it.

I asked a question on a forum for the sake of reading the replies/opinions which is its purpose. Thank you.

Your gaming/personal time has no value. In fact it has negative value, since it generates no money and has to be supported with income from your work.

If I was a twitch streamer would your answer be different?

What an absurd analogy. Did blizzard take your game away so you can’t use it ever again? Didn’t think so. It’s a game launch and they tend to have issues. Especially blizzard.

I am not happy about it. I didn’t even get to walk out of the rogue camp. But I expected issues and I know it will work soon enough. A partial refund is never happening. You aren’t paying for time. You are paying for the game as a whole.

No. Nothing on Twitch has value.

It would be a bit harsher, questioning your life decisions, yeah
Twitch streamers, making money on other peoples work, probably shouldn’t have a whole lot to complain about.

No. Blizzard does not split payment methods on purchases when making them and does not give partial refunds. Never has.

Because down time is part of your sub which is why it has been only $15 since 2004. You agreed to down time.

Now, because in WoW you DO pay for your time to play - when they have major issues that cause the game to be down for days at a time, they do grant free game time to accounts. They have done that many times since Vanilla.

You don’t pay for game time in D2R though. You pay for the game once.

Welcome to Diablo 2. The originally required X amount of hours play time to “perm” a character or it was deleted. Even now, if you don’t log in to your chars every 90 days they are deleted.

Rust storms removing hacked/duped items were also a thing.

I could get a bit pedantic, but you don’t own the game, your Bnet account, your chars, or your items. You have a license to access them under Blizzards terms - terms that explicitly say they can remove items or features.

I can’t fathom that you played WoW with all the issues over the years (IT is no a simple thing) and never put in a complaint, but are doing so over 4 hours in D2R.

The tech issues are NOT good. Nobody thinks they are. A partial refund request for 4 hours seems…unrealistic.

So the consumer that has paid for a product does not have the right to expect it to work? This is the most warped logic I have ever seen online, it is your fault for expecting things to work the way they are suppose to.

So that’s how low the bar is now? This is the hill you want to die on, your best defense is since Blizzard has NEVER done a launch successfully they are automatically exempt from providing a minimum level of service.

What sort of simp logic is that, you might as well crawl up Bobby’s a$$.

The fact you are defending Blizzard just shows how stupid you are, you are one of the people they have ripped off over the years with their sub par level of service and you’re still in such denial.

This isn’t an indie company with a F2P game, this is a relaunch of a 20 year old game from an AAA company.

I am not defending them as much as I am calling your position a joke. I am annoyed the game didn’t work. But you won’t be getting a refund because the game had launch issues. Just like when you go to a theme park you don’t get your money back because a ride broke down for the day.

What if it not just for the day?

Seems this “character stuck in game” bug might be long term.

Cannot make new characters, play any servers or switch to Hc

Idk what to tell you. Blizzard’s track record is pretty bad on this stuff. I can’t play the game at all and I am not happy. But I expected issues and it just is what it is.

Again I am not happy, but a refund isn’t realistic on a game with no recurring fees that will be playable for the long haul after the issues are resolved.

You’re not taking into consideration that people had to invest in upgrade/new consoles ext to be able to even purchase/play the game.

Now apparently unless they do full server resets those people and other will not get to play the game at all.

Which makes everything redundant
