Offline character deleted after Windows crash

Hi!

I was playing with my offline character when Windows suddenly crashed.
When I rebooted my computer and started Diablo again the character was gone. I’ve restarted several times but it doesn’t re-appear. I have not deleted this character myself. Can anything be done to salvage this? I had spent many, many hours on this character and had gotten good gear that’s now lost.

There is no easy way to recover a corrupted data file (which happens when there is a system crash).
