Nintendo Switch - refund. Possible?

Is there any way to get this POS refunded on Switch? Has anybody tried?

Every single day when I have a few time to play I just can’t because of the server issues. Every - single - day. I am done with this company.

Also (unrelated), can you guys post into the general discussion? It shows me “You must own Diablo II: Resurrected to post on this forum.” What the…

Nintendo e-shop is good about refunds. I would reach out to them.

Is it? I heard the exact opposite (and I have never tried to refund anything) - that it is quite difficult to get something refunded. I wonder whether they just won’t look at the play time and say “hey, you have 40 hrs in this game, sorry”.

But I guess I will just give it a try and see. I am really so fed up of this. Thanks for the feedback.

i don’t know about switch but Xbox would have refunded you for this POS for the amount of time we haven’t been able to play. add losing items, exp for a reason to be refunded

I check my receipt from Nintendo eshop and said “can’t cancel or refund”…

Edit: just send email to ask…wish me luck!!

Edit Oct 15: Just got email from Nintendo eshope and said they can’t refund…

Good luck, mate! Let us know pls how it went. (I will give it a shot as well later today)

I’m going to do the same.

Ridiculous

unfortunately nintendo does not do refunds unless required by law but this might be one of those extraordinary situations where they may well issue the refund. i could be wrong but yea id reach out to them and at least see about it. never hurts to try

Yeah they never refund. The only way to get a refund is to involve consumer right orginastions in your country which will force Nintendo to obey the law. As a lone consumer you are out of luck.

Refunds are pretty much an xbox thing. Sony, Nintendo and steam/valve don’t speak that language.

In 99% cases you will not recive a refund for a purchase on ANY and ALL game console systems. Of course there is always a very small chance you will succeed if your request is given to a good person. But dont count on it. Only way to recive a refond from console storefront is when game is not working at all for huge number of people - something like CP2077. Otherwise no chance. You can also try getting refund from your bank if you paid using credit/debt card - but you risk having you whole account on that game console be banned and all you digita purchased content lost forever.

This is ridiculous. How can they not even look at refunding a game that we are unable to play the majority of the time. I have been booted out of the ge for the last 3hrs and won’t get to try play again until next weekend. If you pay for a game you should be able to play it when you habe free time. This was my last Blizzard game for sure.

You could try play offline until they manage to stabilize the online experience in, let’s say, some months?
Offline I never had issues that prevented me to play completely and IMO D2 was always a single player game with some optional online component.

Is this a thing? I don’t see any selection for playing offline and it just errors on game start if airplane mode is on for me. So far I haven’t been able to launch into the actual game once since I purchased a week ago :frowning:

I contacted Nintendo support and informed them I was unable to play due to issues on blizzards servers and an hour later received an email.

In regard to the recent issue you reported to Nintendo, I’m emailing you to let you know that we’ve processed a refund to your credit card for $39.99. You should see this credit within 1-5 business days, but it can sometimes take up to two billing cycles (30-60 days).

It’s possible by now they have received a lot of complaints and are refunding without much hassle.

Wow! That so not Nintendo style, will try it myself too.

Edit: I’ve sent them an elaborate email with request for a refund due to a product being useless and incomplete given the situation.

I can confirm they are doing refunds on D2R. Just got off the phone with Nintendo. It will take about a day or two for them to process.

The funny thing is that it started working as of writing this.

I will be calling them tomorrow to request a refund. I wont be supporting this company in anything else.
