Apparently Macro got a sneak peek at the patch notes and shared a bit in a video.
Check out Kabryxis’s post here for some cool insight on what the NHD changes will mean:
4 more slots overall, I thought it was 4 more per mode. Not a whole lot but I’ll take it over nothing.

4 more slots eh? How generous of them. It’s better than nothing I guess.
Hey, at least we will finally be able to create one of every class in classic and expansion in ladder and non-ladder!!!.. (not counting HC and SC)

Yeah, a whole 20% increase.
Maybe they’ll continue trickling more each season but we’ll see.

I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed… but essentially this is large buff to casters/ranged - Yes?
Yes - no word on if melee gets any love yet.
Love your positive, hopeful outlook Mr Rondel.
I have got a lot of negative comments/assumptions I would love to toss out there… arrr… we shall see.
Not really, the only class that really benefits directly is assassins because they are the only ones that can have NHD skills simultaneously occurring (from Phoenix/CoT charges overlapping because of her fast kick speed or from Shock Web/Blade Sentinal/Wake of Fire traps applying NHD). I suppose barbarians as well because their Grim Ward shoots out “fear” projectiles that have 6 frame NHD which could prevent their War Cry (6 frame NHD) from hitting.
The bigger overall change is that certain party compositions will no longer be gimped because of NHD. Take a windy druid for example, his Tornado has 25 frame NHD so that means he would prevent a Strafezon from hitting any of her Strafe arrows (Strafe has 4 frame NHD) for a whole second (25 frames = 1 second). Now that’s no longer the case, they can both attack the same target and not prevent each other’s damage.

I appreciate your explanation - it further bolsters casters/ranged when playing together.
That was truly needed.

indeed. having hidden mechanics that prevent your skills from working only affects missiles, most of which melee skills do not have, was silly and not needed. its not a buff in the traditional sense, and i expect MA sin to get nerfed since they went so far to implement a change which previously restricted her skills to a notable degree. rather than having to have the damage to kill things despite half of the missiles not applying damage, now we can have less damage or less missiles and have an overall healthier build
