New patch is stupid

To this day flippin’ chat box messages of player join/leave/party invite literally block mouse interactions and prevent you from moving/casting spells. There is no way to stop these messages from appearing. Instead of fixing insane garbage like this, we get more ways for them to !@#$ on PvP. Clown world.

INB4 typical Blizzshill response suggesting ‘solution is just play singer player lol’. Go live your lives in single player; solitary confinement. GTFO.

What a Karen. Nobody with a brain likes this clunky key mapping system. I hated it back in the earlier days as well. Never liked it.

There are lots of duels. Especially low level duelers that have insane charms/jewels and gear. People acquire GG gear within a matter of weeks.

I dont want d2 bastardized with too many big changes. I have loved this game for 20 years.

However I gotta call B.S. on anyone including my fellow veterans complaining about the skill bar. It really isnt much different. Doesn’t make game much easier.

The only difference is before your hotkey selects the skill to use, then click activates skill. Now your hotkey activates the skill. Simply slightly less clicking that’s all.

I am concerned there will be too many changes but this particular one isnt worth getting mad. It’s not like drop rates are getting buffed. Thank god

I’m interested to see if you can turn off the new keybinds so you can keep it the original way if you want.

Then don’t use it… it’s optional. The complaints people have here are just ridiculous.

From the PTR blog post:

“These features will officially be introduced in early December when Patch 2.3 goes live. This update will also be accompanied by many bug fixes and other improvements, which will be detailed upon release of the patch.”

People read those like they read news articles… read the headline and 2-3 sentences and call it a day.

I know that many give these a cursory glance.

I prefer reading the whole thing so I know what to expect and do not sound silly when making a claim that is contradicted by what Blizzard wrote.

At least it isn’t person loot, or some other nonsense. This is a minor change and adds fluid to gameplay. I have no problem with it, honestly.

Yes, you can turn it off. It is totally optional.

Since they allowed players to play with controllers on PC I don’t see it as that bad of a change. Sure it is coming real close to crossing the line. Also as others will say it is optional.

I presume you won’t use the new interface right?

I presume you’re not using the 2 new stash tabs provided with resurrected?

I think I remember you complaining about dual air bags in cars back in 98 too.

If you’ve played long enough you can do: F6->RMB->F1 soo fast that this change is mostly irrelevant. I’m not even sure I’ll switch tbh. Also, and I would totally never do this… you can program most gaming mouses with macros to essentially cast any skill with a button press and end up with your main skills still on LMB and RMB…
