I’m protesting it because it goes against what Blizzard sold.

No because they didn’t advertise LoD as a remaster of D2.

nah its just because blizzard doesn’t like using remastered as a term, as that would imply better.

Considering this aspect they have done a great job so far with REforged and REsurrected.

They used the term remastered for sc1, see? That one actually worked fine… after a few patches

Why are you purists so obsessed with D3? Real D2 fans like me never even played D3.

Yes being a purist is bad because that means we never would’ve had LOD. Purists would’ve blocked the introduction of runewords since it was an addition. If we had it your way, runewords would’ve never existed and that would’ve drastically made this game worse.
