Do u even know what an exploit is when it comes to games.
An Exploit is something that was not intended game design. What mrllama is doing is how the OG Dev’s intended it to be.

What is the difference in playing solo in a full game vs playing solo in a solo game but with the option of upping the difficulty for a chance at better drops and xp?
Actually… he’s for them IIRC lol. Due to his popularity he doesn’t need to play the game though… gets carried to 99 and fully geared just for being the top USA streamer.
Hardly phases me, I’m more focused on these damn botters who don’t have to play AT ALL to win.

Its not classic cheating but certainly wasnt intended to be played like this either.
Community changed, keeping the game the same is bad design.
You can allready tell how d2r has little future with all the mess currently bugging the game and then you have clowns defending it.

I wouldn’t say it’s technically cheating to use one’s privileges (like fans, fame, money, etc.) but it is definitelly against the spirit of competition.
What’s the point of P8 is 7 people are just going to afk in town? Might as well just be SP with the P8 command, it will likely be less strain on the servers not having to load 7 afk characters anyway.

Protip: No one cares. I’ve played Diablo 2 for 20+ years, and countless ladders, can you guess how many times I have cared about the leaderboard? Literally zero.

wish i could comment on being legit. currently not play the ladder cuz I dont wanna delete any of my characters shrug
So do what lots of people do and make a Baal run game but farm elsewhere. You underestimate how common a strategy that is. Good luck finding a Baal game because instead of carrying you the good players solo other lvl 85 areas.
Do you even play D2? Most fillers stay in town where one character kills all and gets the loot. This even happens in your suggested awesome group-play of “split magic find”. This also happens when people hijack public games to MF.
That’s why I liked the idea of a SSF flair for ladder. You could have the option to see where you stack up against others without being fed.
But that was too much of a change for some.
To be honest, all streamers do this/privilege and not just D2. Llama is just unlucky the he is the most watched streamer in D2.
I feel sorry for him as he is been targetted by many of us in forum due to his popularity.
