I have been a long-time player/fan of Diablo 2. I have been watching this player manipulate the games mechanics in his favor for recognition, easy exp, items etc. My point is if it is ok to have 7 ‘players’ follow you for drops and exp, then what is the point of ladder? Is this not a form of cheating? I was not in favor of players 8 online but after seeing the blatant abuse of game mechanics, why not allow for a compromise of players 4 online for those who play solo? It isnt always possible to find people to play with and that way it would make it a little easier for some to lvl up and farm. Just a thought.
So playing the game as intended, is now cheating, just because some players have more people to play whit? Maybe you should get more friends? And what exactly did you expect, what will happen to streamers? They will be denied to play whit their followers? Come on, you just want P8 online, no matter what you say.
Seven static players sitting in town is not how multiplayer was intended I’m guessing. It is no different than loading up 7 accounts just for the drops and exp or paying others to do so. None of my friends have time to play vidya games, I barely do.
Than reach out.to the community, Discord have LFG channels, this Site also has LFG section. State your biusness and wait if some want’s to join. Or look for players that do what you want to do. They are not static they are probably AFK. But I can see your point.
Dude, it’s okay to do that. Anyone, no matter if they’re a streamer or not, can team up with their friends to simulate a /players x. If the others just stay around town as unpartied players, that’s their problem. Perhaps many who are at a higher level on the ladder are also doing this and no one knows
Love these egg avatar zero post accounts…
You think LLAma invented this? Players have been doing this on D2 long before he was even errect.
With all game mechanics, give players long enough, they will find exploits and strategy.
Dont complain about it, thank them for showing you a better way to play and play it to full advantage, or dont, thats your choice.
You should actually watch mr llama because that is never the case. There are no “static” players ever.
He has a team that has a precise method to beat hell Baal in minimal time. He then keeps his games full as he does Baal runs inviting people from twitch chat. He then had people run Baal waves while he cleared chaos solo, then teleporting to the group for wave 5. He now has people find him exp shrines so he can get bonus exp because, as I have learned from him, the only thing that gives you exp at level 98 is diablo, Baal and nihilathak. He also gives away so many items.
I know it is the way the game has always been, read my first sentence again. I am only suggesting a QOL implementation and using MrLlamasc as the best example of why it should be considered. Balance is key IMHO.
he also received many valuable items like 20/17 ptorch, jah, ber donation btw…
I mean I did call it:
I am yet to be proven wrong or have even one logical counter argument.
Sitting at 50 likes by the way, other posts have as much if not many likes too. Majority still asking Blizzard. Until then, D2 stays a game for abusers to have fun and win while legit players suffer.
Now this streamer is probably against ploot and player x command, by the way. This streamer would also probably say drop rates are fine.
Yes, it is funny how sheep flock to the elitist point of view but do not seem to care how it affects the majority. Bottom line is this, I value my time and like this game enough to invest what little time off I get. Honestly, this is what Diablo 3 got right with updates aka QOL changes and I strongly believe this game is overdue for such a change.
Players 8 for experience only would be acceptable, not for loot.
This would allow players to keep up with XP.
If you think it’s unfair because 8 players helping to kill mobs is easier, then find your own group if you want to be top tier finisher on ladder. That’s the only way you’ll hit the leader board, along side with having no job/responsibilities/SO/kids/life outside of gaming.
If you want a full game its easy, stop crying because you have no friends that play.
Nope. For both. It is available for abusers (especially those who multi-client) so it should be available to legit players. Simple.
I am not suggesting ‘‘players 8’’ but a compromise of sorts. People have already been abusing the system for years as stated. Right now, if anyone cares to, you can get 8 people in the same game and get all the benefits of ‘‘players 8’’ legit technically but it is still an exploit as the streamer has demonstrated. Come on Blizzard, do something about this.
People abuse it also by multi-clienting which is very easy to do. Only abusers would be against it especially when 95% of games are private lol.
I am very aware of it, and you have a good point.
Instead of allowing /p8 online, they should completely restrict it.
Just make the monsters spawn stronger only if you are in party and within certain range of the other player(s).
Problem solved. And without destroying weaker builds or causing massive power creep.
No more ppl invading games to mf, no more advantage for multi-account users.
Stronger monsters with better rewards now only work for a party that goes together, like it was intended to be.

This sounds fair and balanced. I would be in favor of something like this.
You should also check out teo1904 on twitch, who is ahead of llama. Dedicated crew, Llama is using his stream watchers/fans and helping people level. Last evening Llama during the Asia Dclone even personally killed 4 or 5 Dclones for his discord users who needed help, taking a break from the lvl 99 grind to help people, Teo did not. Kudos to Llama for doing this process to lvl 99 with his fans vs a dedicated team and for helping with Dclone.
