The more QoL improvements D2R gets the better. I don’t want to spend $40 just for better graphics. The base game is a masterpiece but it’s not perfect, in fact it has already been improved upon in numerous ways like shared stash, auto gold pickup, ladder content in SP and much more. OG game is still there for you and has been patched numerous times over years by people who weren’t the original devs so the Mona Lisa comparison is off base.

Because as of now the 1.14 version of the game would be gone. So I rather don´t want to find out.
(The D2R one with better graphics and minor QoL - the reason we bought D2R in the first place)

Just like 1.13 was gone with 1.14, just like 10 was gone with 1.11 so what? Higher version got better than 1.10

Yeah i bought it because of the new graphic but also because i heard that they were going to change thing … Not everyone think D2 is perfect … Even if i played this game for 20 years like most of us on this forum … I also know that alot of skill are worthless, Lot of items are outdated/Bad… Unique need some love to be (Unique again) Melee are 10 times slower than any casters and that without talking about FCR… They said they were open to change BUT also listening to feedback … Stop being so closed minded and help to make the game (EVEN) better instead … They want to change the game for the best … and for that, they are ready to listen to US …

The creators of this game also made alot of mistakes … Nobody is perfect … And as i said they are ready to listen to us, If you think you have some good ideas instead of whinning that could really help us …

a other clueless topic first Mona Lisa diablo2 lod is not patch 1.14 from where d2re is remake so from day 1 the game is not about Mona Lisa

They are no longer at blizzard though, only the incompetence of the last decade or so.
The game still belong to them … so yes they can do whatever they want with it.

(THEY said) they were open to change and they are going to … At this point you can argue all you want i don’t really care … But (YOU) have the power to suggest some good idea that you would like to see … I don’t know you could suggest that they make a new creation mode for the current patch… so that way no matter what happen you will have the version of Diablo 2 you like so much … Maybe more area lvl 85 ? i don’t know what you like but you could have some feedback to them …
Yes will most likely be better than it was before, they have consistently improved upon 1.10 in subsequent patches.
But if you want to discuss patches, they nearly had D2 perfect in 1.09. (besides any hacks & bugged items etc, I am not counting that because we didn’t have it in Hardcore)
They changed so much with 1.10 that the game almost felt brand new again.
That was both good and bad. Good, because we got to experience the game in new ways, with characters roles & skills completely jumbled around. It was also bad, because we lost many aspects that of the game that were more fun Pre-1.10.

Original D2 is still there for you to play.
Your analogy is completely broken. A remake doesn’t mean someone is going to paint over it.

Honestly over 10 years ago I went to see the Mona Lisa and I still to this very day don’t understand this art at all. Or shall I say I get art as it could be In any form but some crap like that painting that’s worth a fortune is plain stupid to me. I see people flock to it like zombies and again I find it really stupid. That painting to me is hideous and the guy drawing it must have been on something while drawing it.
The point is why should people agree with this painting being a master piece even in painting. If they decided to change it I would not really care but other still could like it and some will always dislike it. In short what I am trying to say this way of giving example does not prove anything. People like it or they don’t, people change things or they don’t. If it happens it happens your just trying to say leave it alone because it was a master piece but I completely disagree even for a painting. I don’t care if millions agree with that painting being good either. To me it’s plain stupid along with its price tag. Just so you know I like painting too and landscapes and comic drawings are what I like, so please spare me a lecture on I don’t know what true art is and all that garbage.
