maybe that is why it has had re touching including varnish, paint layer stripping, new paint added to it, a new frame made for it and other stuff.
Started to really hope that all the changes that some folks are begging for will actually be implemented. Things like cooldown on teleport, cheap enigma, improved drop rates, total rebalancing, rifts etc. This game should get a whole different audience. The tears of all the old players who wanted CHaNgE will be the very best

To those suggestions themselves - I mean I can see where they are coming from.
But it´s the usual “get rid of D2 quirks” things. Good idea, if they would make a new game - not so much for D2.
Ya that first thing is my main sticking point. They need to keep a 1.14 version intact and fix the gd wsg kicks and ww. As long as that is done i see no reason not to give the pvm some love in a separate game mode.
Blizz just need to not be lazy then everyone can be happy

You can buy D2 (2000) and LoD (2001) directly from Blizzard. They now have a digital download and it no longer requires the CD in the drive to run. They did this right, they did not touch the original game and it is still available to play. Either with your own old CD key, or a new one.
Note that if you have an old CD key you need to add it to your Bnet account then when installing, use the NEW 26 digit one from your Account Summary list for the install.

Please check the system requirements before making that purchase. Any computer from the last few years will not be able to play d2 because it does not work on modern operating systems. There is a 3rd party hack you can download at your own risk to get around that but dont be surprised if you get a virus, banned, or all ur bitcoins stolen.
They updated D2 to run on Win10 so yes, it does run. Not perfectly, but it does run. You can legit buy D2 and LoD from Blizz directly and run it. Even on most modern operating systems. EXCEPTION - Most new Mac OS variants are not supported.

Oh cool i was not aware of that. I had a lot of problems trying to get it to run on my new computer until i installed old version of windows 7

Plus both pictures can co exist. We don’t need to draw over the original. We can preserve the masterpiece and also have the new piece hanging up beside it. That way both young and old can appreciate what they like

Classic D2:LoD remains available for sale if you want that.
It doesn’t make any sense to have two identical online D2 games with identical metas and identical features.

I am convinced there is space to discuss the (false) dichotomy change/no change, but starting off with an antagonistic remark only serves to close the discussion and make the community more toxic.

Unless they finally fixed things with the main download, you’ll download the 1.14 client, but then have to update to the 1.14d client by proxy of using their FTP site linked in an obscure support article (yes, the Blizzard FTP still exists and is very handy for getting the older games running on older hardware).
As for:
I’ve summoned the tiniest possible violin, being played by a Borg nanoprobe. The macOS versions haven’t worked properly in any version of Mac OS X (now macOS). It only ever ran properly in Mac OS 8.6 and 9.1/9.2.2. Once Blizzard North became defunct, the Mac client became the red headed stepchild. At least on the Windows side players are able to be comforted with PlugY instead of having to use GoMule to store items.
