Same here, finally played after swapping my cpu to one that allows AVX. Got to act 2 stopped to do IRL things, came back and nowcharacter
My 86 level sorc is gone i just played the game 15 min ago , gone to eat and when i entered again all is blanked ? when is this alpha issues going to be fixed ? ? And i also cannot create a new one …
My level 35 necro just up and disappeared. On top of that there seems to be an issue when starting up the game, it now takes 5-10 times as long and sits on a black screen with the diablo 2 logo in the bottom right for a while.
Same game just disconnect me and Lost everything my Druid 42 ans my paly 20. -.-’ anoying blizzard…
Mine is gone as well. Are they going to come back after the maintenance is completed or are we just SOL

There is a banner message on my battle.net desktop client for D2R stating they are performing live maintenance between 10:30am PDT to 1:30pm PDT. Im guess that has something to do with this.
I just got a chance to log in for the day, ran a quick MF run, found a nice pair of chance guards, couldn’t create a new game, restarted client, and now all my characters are gone. Had a levle 55 Sorc, and a level 60 Paladin… I want my characters back.
Same here my level 40 pally is gone after days of grinding.
Its pathetic man its truly depressing that massive developers are allowed to get away with releasing games without fixing the actual issues we saw in the beta tests the same issues were happening then and they didn’t bother to address the issues. There is no excuse for this.
Level 71 Sorceress just disappeared after a game crash…
Reloading the game won’t bring the character back.

Thanks for letting us know but seriously this isn’t what I’d expect from a company that has been running an online games service for over a decade!
Blizz got bored of all the players complaining about the “character stuck in game issue”, so they just whipped all the characters. No character = No issue
Good question about the missing characters. This is a display issue being caused by the connection problem. Your characters should still exist once we get things fixed. Sorry again for the unexpected downtime.
Note that with any unexpected offline issue there may be some progress loss (recent quests or recently acquired items/levels, or very recently created characters), but we anticipate that the majority of, if not all characters should show back up after things recover.

I have playing on a sorcerer about lvl 42, i did about 3 normal cow runs, and when i tried to make one more run the game says that cannot find the charecter, when i close the game and back in the character simply gone…
I had a lvl 61 sorc last night - logged off and went to work.
I logged in today and my character was gone…no char to choose.
Will this get fixed? And inb4 people saying i deleted it by accident, i didnt.
