Why does concentration aura only buff blessed hammers
It dose not say increase magic damage or spell damage we all found out it increases hammers but why just that

No need for more power creep. Hammerdin has long needed a good smackdown with the nerf bat anyways.

Because Blessed hammer is physical thing made of metal, bone spear, holy bolts or mind mind are not.

In that logic then molten boulder should do the same and also tornado and bone spears physical. It’s a spear made from a bone bone. Spirit is a different story

A long time ago, Concentration only affected physical attacks & Hammers were unplayable. They changed Concentration to work on Hammers to try and make them playable. If I recall correctly, the Concentration change was before synergies were added, so Hammers probably weren’t as overpowered at that time compared to now. Maybe someone else that remembers can chime in.
All you’re doing with your suggestion is effectively combining Hammerdins with FoHdins. You can’t maximize everything unfortunately but a few synergy points off of Sanctuary is a small price to pay when you got a Holy Paladin that can walk the game without fear of ANY opponent: Magical, Animal, Demon or Undead, NOTHING is immune to this character save for the Act 3 Wendigo’s in the various Act 3 Temples(and no one bothers to venture there due to poor density/tight confines and the fact they’re completely optional). Outside of that, the combination of Holy Bolt, Blessed Hammer and FoH can handle every area of the game without the need for expensive gear like a Sorceress or Javazon do with respect to Immunities.
So tell me how EXACTLY this makes things better than it is right now? Short of pissing off FoHdins with applying MI to HB/FoH(which they’ve enjoyed for years now btw and was the means in which Hammerdins handled Wave 2 of Baal until they removed BH’s synergy on Holy Bolt in 2.4, which you’ve brought back in REVERSE), no Paladin is going to utilize Sanctuary over Insight’s Meditation. Plus having Sanctuary apply -Magic% is changing the purpose of the skill. It’s meant to be a Melee or Physical debuff aura, NOT an aura meant to reduce enemy Magic Resistance.
The best solution is to remove Concentration altogether and give Blessed Hammer two synergies at 35% each. Vigor and Blessed Aim don’t make any sense(I agree on that point) but synergies don’t have to make sense(it’s a video game… who cares?).
The problem with that is then they have an extra Aura they can use even without the full damage that gives them another buff
Because way back in the day Blessed Hammer were 50% magic damage AND 50% physical damage. When they changed hammers to magic damage only, they just kept the damage buff on blessed hammers because it was such a popular build.
