fire and light immune monster have -10 resist
and cold resist monsters have -100 ( which is the negative cap)
doesn’t understand what this charm + infinity + facets will do
95% - 85% from infinity = 10%
- all facets/ -res gear for fire and light = negative
cold mastery has negative resists even without infinity and it reaches the -100 negative resist cap with infinity.
they people who are “freaking out” are doing so because you didn’t “give them 95% resist”
you gave them NEGATIVE resists.
oh and becuase melee is stuck at 95% with no facets, and has to rely on procs from atmas ( aka dropping anglics)
or for a merc… who has to
- target the monster u want to attack
- hit said monster
- get the low proc chance
get a tiny 2 radius aoe when the curse procs
while casters get a screenwide aoe as well as massive aoe skills like frozen orb and lightning fury.
the issue isnt “95%”
it because its NOT 95%
and it blasts apart the already MASSIVE melee and caster clear speed differential

Also -5% for all Corpse Explosion targets (Physical portion) for Necro which will be funny/horrible
yeah necro is like the only class that actually gets to use the full power of the physical charm… barb gets some with the grim ward but fury is just screwed over again because he has no - physical res skills
It all seemed like it was done in error to begin with. Once they realise they will quicjly fix it by patching it out
But they do know, and they are keeping it. The horrible truth is that Blizzard thi k its ok for an immune monster to be negative in resists. The one thing that makes that monster special, is completely disregarded.
Also, many people cant accept that there will be challenges and strife in life. Some just want to sit around on the benefit system and expect to be rich. Some dont want snakes in snakes and ladders because challenge makesnthem feel inadequate.
Best thing to do now is make a no click paladin with a charm, and afk insta clearing act 1 cintent to get tyraels and zods.
Why should the god of murder drop more than a quillrat? Thats intolerant maaahhhnnnn. Why should baal be better exp than corpsemourn? Why should i have to risk anything for reward?
Because if its too easy its not a game.

Will open new niche builds ie; Bowadin/ BowSorc and might even make them viable as standard builds.
Here’s my Bowadin at P8, he’s pretty strong but is limited to cows since the damage is based on Fire. These new charms will be godsend towards my build:

Melee is dead at this point. There’s zero reason to play it over caster. The gap is 5,000,000,000 miles wide.

Melee is butt cheeks.
Casters are truly the only truly viable option for any sort of EFFICIENT gameplay.
Melee is fun but slow. I guess the true silver lining for melee is that Ubers are most efficiently defeated by melee.
However with the addition of Sunder charms that could change. I mean I seen a budget Javazon pokey the ubers to death. Took on Meph+Baal at the same time and succeeded with no deaths.
Huh…. It’s hard to imagine something better than a Smiter. But maybe something even cheaper? Not sure. Time will surely tell though

I have an ominous idea that Blizzard will nerf the upper limit of physical damage reduction (30% for both pvp and pve) in order to increase melee (actually nerf). It has been lowered from 75% to 50% in the past, but there is a possibility that it will be lower. It’s a big concern for me. Now, the developer’s work is stupid.
Appropriate patches for elemental resistance, damage, and magic damage, balancing of cyclone armor, bone armor, and bone skill damage, balancing hammer damage, nerf of Paladin’s smart skill, application of skill options when attacking when hitting Whirlwind, FHR It seems necessary to discuss balance in various ways, such as rollback with ver 2.3, aging curse and freezing, and nerf of fast casting speed due to cold damage.

Gotta change that meta… its getting boring and stupid. If you really want to do some serious damage 3/3/20 you cant even find a few of them.
Sunder Charms kind of make my idea of overhauling the Class Sets seem like small potatoes in comparison don’t it Swift? I mean the Class Sets could use a considerable update but I tried to keep things in check/within reason. These Sunder Charms… smh… even I wouldn’t be foolish enough to do something like this. It’s not just putting monster resistance into the red, it completely negates/makes irrelevant Unique Monster Bonuses(ex: Fire Enchanted). Meaning if the base monster(say a Fallen) has a Unique spawn with Fire Enchanted(hence now has 175 Fire Resistance), a monster that would normally be UNBREAKABLE is now subject to getting obliterated by a Sorceress’ Fireball because of a freaking charm.
Forget the imbalance between Caster and Melee… this is taking something that was in the 1.00 edition of the game and destroying it. If that isn’t the definition of “game breaking”, I don’t want to know what is.

And don’t forget we are incapable of choosing an area to play ourself, we need to get told. Luckily devs are now telling us where we should play.
Imagine like having full time job and a one year old with 2 hours gaming time when everyone sleeps, want to run some pits or cows or CS and game tells you no, heres some Kurast Sewers!
Don’t get me wrong, i like that they have done something, i would be just awesome if the change was good. Just make 3-4 zones terrorised at once would be… better. And would allow split MF.
Plus they basically made their own “more TC85” change in 2.4 obsolete with TZ lol.

My javazon can farm almost anything in the game without infinity or sunder charms. The physical component of charged strike and lightning fury kills immunes without problem.

I mean it’s so easy with java. Might merc, some dex, WTs and razor, upp Titans…
