I assure you, pleasing aging neckbeards with ridiculous expectations and disposable income for 23 years is definitely a test. The fact that you don’t realize this speaks volumes about the worth of your opinions.
Brevik has repeatedly mentioned 3 changes, where one is stamina bar removal. The other two is auto-gold pickup and instanced loot instead of FFA loot. The post linked below has his tweets, interview quotes, and videos where he repeats these 3 things.
and why do u think that is? do u think its because of the original game? or do u think its more because blizzard completely ruined chat lobbies, so u cant find people to play with… you cant type to all your friend at once.
i made about 90% of the freind in d2 helping people out in lobby helping them do quests… rushes, build tips and advice… setting up runs. and of trades and general chat.
all chat lobby is in d2:R is a sell site spambot filled mess. i havent opened d2 in months becuase i cant find anyone to play with becuase the chat lobbies are a mess.
and even ingame chat is a mess now… there is no ! to chat over your head… you cant type when dead to say " staying dead" to remain in quest area
the new UI is is a disaster.
that’s where blizzard needs to spend their time…
Hey Percey I made a similar post to yours here a wayz back… bear in mind brother , this is probably the cheapest community in the history of gaming. MFKers here were raging for refunds after 1000s of hours playtime ( and thousands more to come). Your idea makes sense to me, however there’s just too many people here that think Blizzard owes them years of fresh gameplay. The future of this game is foreseeable as a falling star in the horizon,. $$ makes our world work .
i want all of it damn he’s good heh
As someone in the top 10% of income earners in the country, this game is well within my affordable range. To answer your question thoroughly; its because I care about the game and want to see changes made to it to make it more fun.
That doesn’t mean anything, anymore. There are remasters that include massive changes. There are remakes that are more faithful.
Oh, it most definitely is because of the original game and Blizzard so far being unwilling to take the necessary risks to change that.
Sunder charms, imo, are a big departure, and have upset many. Damage immunities being as common as they are was a horrible game design, that didn’t age well, and directly made the game less fun. It doesn’t matter if you disagree, it doesn’t matter what any single individual thinks on the matter. Only that the data clearly shows it was bad because it hurt player retention.
Just go ask people who quit the game. Its always topics such as unrewarding loot grinds and mechanics that actively force the player to waste more time on things that they feel they shouldn’t have to. Like only 3 free respecs and having to farm an item in the end game that has a small drop chance for more.
