If this maintenance has to be reverted back again, please just launch ladder with the current patch, as is. During all those months, maybe you can work this issue out, Blizz. Have plenty of PTRs, etc. We’ll all help you.

No I’m just saying the current patch that we’ve had for many months. Just launch ladder like this. The new patch can wait if they can’t work this crap out. Bring on ladder now.
or just cancel ladder all together and focus on the patch. not enough changes on ladder to make me want to start a new char anyways
true alot changes on patch when dos release they just need get together i know alot ppl want ladder so bad but i look at it as atleast the ppl working on this game trying to do good unlike blizz more char slots and more stash be nice or allow stacking gems and arrows things that can be stacked to make more room for crafting
Well just don’t play the ladder then. If you’re willing to wait, then just wait for the second ladder because that’s how long it’s going to take to get this first one out, with your reasoning. Launching the first ladder now would make no difference to you.

No, run ladder for 4 months, and by the time it’s over, they might have figured this issue out. So the second ladder can start with the new 2.4 patch. The other alternative is waiting 4 months anyway, and then maybe they will have the patch and database right.

No, the database issues are holding it up. I’m grouping them all together because not everyone would know what I’m talking about if I just said database issues. That’s what they can’t figure out. And it appears it’s going to take a very long time to do so.
So launch ladder now as is.
But as is, there are database issues. Do you want a ladder where we struggle with log in & data loss problems?
Yes, if the alternative is the current situation for 4 months instead. Besides, no one has those problems really. I don’t hear people complaining about this happening at all. Launch ladder.
They would launch 2.4 without the db fix before launching ladder to current patch. These server issues are the ladder delay, which can easily be removed from the 2.4 if they deemed it necessary. They won’t launch ladder though with massive queues and rate limiting.
We had them big before. No one has them right now because player volume is low.
There won’t be queues. Maybe day one. The only people that would play it would be the ones playing now, maybe a small uptick. Everything is holding up now. I’m willing to go through a day or two of bad server issues.
Why not? The alternative is nothing. We can have a crappy ladder and play a good one after 4 months. Or we can have nothing at all and have a good one in 4 months. Launch ladder.
D2R will never experience the audience it had for launch. And if a lot of people come back, then they will leave as fast as they came when they see a queue. So it will normalize and we’ll have a ladder. Works for me.

I think you underestimate the amount of people that would be playing at the ladder start, just like Blizzard did at launch.
Well, they’ll turn around and leave again, and we’ll have a ladder for 4 months instead of waiting.
Trouble of it is though the ladder will no doubt need the new patch to work properly. Starting it now will mean that you will have a ladder start that would be a nightmare. Especially if it means that the current patch is the final part of the server stability that they have been working on that was in the first PTR.
Well I don’t really see how the patch would be necessary to simply restart an economy. But who knows, I guess. I say if it can be done, they should do it.
Anything would be better than the way they have pooched this game.
Really glad we listened to the vocal minority/influencers and changed literally everything about the game. Who saw that causing any problems.
It’s a #$%^ing tapestry, I keep trying to tell them, you cannot pull on any 1 thread, it just does not work that way.
Oh well, maybe one day we will get what WE PAID FOR, THE SAME GODDAM GAME, WITH UPDATED GRAPHICS!!!
