Some people like collecting items to boost survivability of new characters. Others like collecting all of the uniques in the game in a quest for the Holy Grail. Others have two whole tabs filled with runes and gems and are finding the single multi tab to be rather restrictive. Regardless of the reason, it is their right to do what they want in their game. Stop forcing your beliefs onto others.

Changing that poor girl into fruit was messed up! I couldn’t believe it, but then again I never played Magic, and I hear this level of censorship has been rampant there for years as well.
When I typed “bugged” in game, it came up as profanity.

I could have sworn Diablo 2 was rated Mature. It had big boobied demons, gobs of blood and half naked Harem girls littering the palace of Act 2… Anyone see where Jerhyn hid those poor girls?
I called my buddy a lucky bastard after he found two Tal’s amulets in one day. Blizzard censors the word Bastard, but the game drops items called Bastard Swords.
That makes no sense.

Can confirm. I tried to name a mule JewelyMulemar and I couldn’t. I narrowed it down to the use of jew… which is ridiculous.

You cannot create any name beginning with Se either. That means Sean, Sebastian, Serina, Sera, Seamus, Serverus or any other name, so long as it begins with Se.

Censorship is one thing, but why the hell does one need a mule for jewels? In the meantime I have a character for “gems”. But for jewels?

No, but you’re being ignorant to the fact that people used to make offensive names constantly with some of those.
I’d say when I played D2, I’d run into at least one edgelord per session that thought it was cool to have an offensive/racist name.

And you seem to be here, relatively unharmed. What is your point? I can make a sentence containing the words your, train, mother and ran that would also be considered offensive, but that doesn’t mean you ban those words.
Jewish people exist, even today. They may even take offence to finding that their people are considered profane because of a bunch of edgelords. You don’t punish every single person because a few are immature. If you are that intent on cleansing the Mature rated Diablo 2, then personally flag each and every one individually. Don’t blanket ban a group of people or peoples names.
The word “Jewish” obviously isn’t actually profanity. It’s included in the filter to prevent using it in a character name.
If you are taking that literally, then you have bigger problems that I can’t help you with.
