BC is endgame focused too. back in the day we had recruit a friend which allowed leveling with 300% bonus xp. Also wow is a 17 years old on going game, they had to add short cuts otherwise it would be extremely unattractive for new players.

The best thing is that they mentioned potential BALANCE CHANGES in the PTR. That would mean they are more serious about the game.
Fix all the broken stuff in this game like summon druids, spearazons, martial arts assassins, etc.
Fix all the stupid broken unique items that literally no-one uses. I want to feel good when I get a grandfather sword or a windforce.
Add more content. PoE adds more content all the time. Just do it.

Fine with me to monetize (as long as it doesn’t affect player power) if they add more content and actually support the game. They could start slow, add a $5 skin that makes tyrael’s might make you have crazy tyrael tentacle/wings. Give me a $5 skin so I can turn off the retarded unique skull helm and make it the standard skull helm. whatever. Develop the game. The base game is still the best base ARPG in terms of itemization, how it feels to play, etc., it’s just been neglected forever.
If we are to break down the words, “Resurrected” means “brought back to life”. If you want to bring an old car back to life, it’s not gonna be enough to just paint it, the engine and interior must be replaced and somewhat adapted to modern standards.

Not if you want content that doesn’t involve player power. Skins are the best way to monetize without affecting power levels. I’d be happy to pay a sub also. If they added a $10 sub but I could get ongoing game updates…sign me up. Heck, PoE had an OPTIONAL SUB that people willingly paid so they could develop the game, and people did, and the game became much larger as a result. It’s not complicated. Is Blizzard so pathetic they need a GoFundMe to actually develop their game? Maybe, but people would probably pay if it meant they got more content for a classic game.

Yeah just monetize all forms of player interest , cosmetics included but first remove the box price .
I’ll gladly have my money back and never look back at this game if this ever happens .

That sounds like better than I expect from present day Blizzard tbh (though less worse is a better describtion I guess).
I see a few rounds of changes and than power creep and unique showers make a ladder fun for 2 days before everyone gets bored again, while the game has become so easy that they implement Tiers to make the game artificially difficult.
Season pass means you can at least play the normal game and skip the season.
The box price is for the AAA quality. You don’t see blizzard quality graphics, art and gameplay in f2p games.
I’m all for changes. More changes please. Start with balancing by buffing certain skill trees.

The point is , free to play games have their monetization model like this for a reason .

Yes, It’s a Korean glorified cellphone game with predatory p2w and generic outdated unreal engine 3 graphics.
PoE never had optional sub , it was a beta key price .
PoE is free to play , and Diablo 2 R isn’t .
It’s really that simple , don’t mix both because the monetization is entirely different .
So this is why the whole Eu and NA are so eager to play it , because of its outdated graphics ?
