Another possibility is they know that bots will continue to bot and gather much more items. This will drive the prices down but also massively increase the supply.
Individual runes and bis uniques will be peanuts. They might not even want /p8 to get themselves better loot, but being able to buy it cheaper with RMT.
The market for truly gg niche items like 2soc visio mode blood armets, perfect charms etc will self regulate. What cost now 30Jah will be worth maybe 300Jah and so on.
So what we really need is stackable gems and runes not /p8.

Botting at increased rates due to /p8 being added to Battlenet will allow more and more crazy rare items to be found or crafted that will sell at more and more ludicrous price due to the inflation.
Nothing will change.
Expect that will be a ridiculous amount of runes with not enough place to stash. More people will be pushed towards using jsp because fg gold becomes less cumbersome than storing 50bers because you rolled a gg amulet or found an eth dimensional blade with cruel mod and 2 sockets.
More than that, the few fully legit players lucky enough to find or roll one of those trully gg items will not be able to trade it for a hefty price due to the fact that most likely a bot found a better roll. The same with rolling runewords. Botter will always produce faster a perfect roll.
In the long run the community has only to lose and the only winners will be the botters.
So ask yourself, who really wins when you introduce /p8 to battlenet?
We already witness this phenomenon. Due to the increased supply of hrs in the market due to botting, trully gg pvp&pvm items(rares/crafted/magic) increase in price month by month. /p8 will only accelerate it.

Bosses are caped at 6 picks per kill so their no drop increase is limited
