My understanding is that D2R is going to be much easier to play on Battle.net 2.0
The entire reason I stopped playing Diablo II was because I had no one to play with, and Battle.net 1.0 was simply unusable. I just got done looking at D2 (2001) Discussion page, and it’s a nightmare of bots and errors!
So, if Blizz fixes Diablo 2 in Battle.net 2.0, and really pays attention, then, yes! I will continue to support their games, including Diablo 3, Diablo 4, Diablo 5, Immortal, VR, or whatever they produce. As long as they make it easy to play on the servers, I’m good.
With all the mods people have made over the years, I’m satisfied that any restrictions or upgrades will be taken into account, fully. Remember, we are the players, the fans, and the hardcore customer base. They have to listen to us. So far, they have.
