I'm tired of no games being listed

The original concept of hack and slash is still in place… if the community was interested in the game and not a hair pulling contest/jsp gold farming/item selling mob, they would still be playing not waiting for the most uninteresting version of a game mechanic every conceived.

Why were the private channels not part of Bnet? That definitely was a bnet feature that got lost. Anti hack isn’t working, there are active bots (i don’t even blame blizzard for that).

My inability? There is literally no way, without the use of other platforms, that lets me connect with players from different regions of the realm, that aren’t in my fl.

It’s not their problem, and if they won’t hear us so be it. I just don’t get it why you defend them when selling a bad product.

What bot are you running so you can show us proof of this?

I play with people whom I will have a good connection too with no dysnc daily…if you want to BYPASS Blizzards fix for the issue you more or less DEMANDED they deliver you can simply setup ping machines.

a couple of people turned up that sell 2 + 10 fcr 3bh or 2/3/3 scepters on d2jsp. Dozens of them. That means shopbots are working. I’m not using it myself. Try shoping one of them and you see that such amounts are not realistically done by hand.

I had good ping and could play with everybody on realm in classic d2. Without the use of anything else than the game i bought. It’s a step back, we have less features than 20 years ago, no matter how you twist and turn it.

HHAHAHHAHAH people gold farm for thousands of hours in games… why would shopping be any different? I can check the shops 10 times in a minute.

Little maths to show you how unlikely your assumption is.

2/3/3 = 1/1822462
2/10/3=1/1214674

lets say you spawn 10 scepters each time you re-enter town and let’s assume you just need 10 seconds for 1 respawn (walking, teleporting, checking all scepters. a2 should be fastest).

if you repeat that for some days you are lucky if you find one.

Now tell me how likely it is, that for months we haven’t seen one 2/3/3 scepter offered and suddenly, within 2 weeks, we see multiple people offering 5-10 of them?

you must be naive to believe that it is done legit. I’d believe 1-2 guys finding 1-2 of them. But not these amounts. Every statistic speaks against it.

My inability to connect to other players is 100% the fault of Blizzard. They separated out servers based on peoples physical locations, not their ping. I could play with anyone in the USA and not have any lag or Dsync, but I don’t have the option to. That’s the point. I don’t have the ability to change where my server is, and because of that, I’m stuck with the same small amount of people every day. Nothing I do, other than using a VPN, will allow me to see new games.

I also made a post for this. I would be playing D2, I wouldn’t be posting, but there are quite literally no games showing, despite my best efforts, so…

Hi Blizz,

Friendly reminder to fix whatever bug (or feature?) is going on with the game list. Often times I will log in and there will only show 0-2 games in normal, 0-2 games in nightmare, and 0-2 games in hell. Now I’m no math wizard, but something tells me there’s more than 0-2 public games being played in D2R. So…where are they? The “fix” is even weirder, sometimes it will simply fix on its own over time, sometimes it requires an entire game/client restart, sometimes I can join a game and when I get out it will be populated, sometimes none of it works and I’m stuck with 0-2 games to play with, and uh, that’s not very fun. So whatever it is, bug, feature, idk, please look at fixing it for 2.4 patch, thanks!

I’m in the bay area california btw, a pretty populated area, so if there are no games showing here…I feel bad for anyone truly in the middle of sleepy nowhere who I guess never get to see any games.

Figure it out people, IP addresses are NOT static.

Bad drop rates, and a vocal forum community that says its fine…
Bad/old/aged systems that players would rather not deal with…

The writing was on the wall. I called it back when this was announced at BlizzConline. Want people to return? Want a larger community? Remove damage immunities or significantly increase ways to break them, and find some way to help players target farm specific items. Maybe bring the cube recipes of upgrade rares and convert set item.

What kind of IP Addresses are you talking about?

An IP address can very well be static…

they dont HAVE to be…why not use this to your advantage?

Except time does matter. I probably would still be playing if there were serious updates, but I ran out of things to do and got bored months ago.

I was playing WoW a lot, had no serious complaints because I like raiding and M+, but there were no updates for ages. Got bored and left. Now I have no interest in going back. If they had released the patches efficiently I would still be playing WoW probably.

Most of the players who left aren’t coming back. They’ve moved on and got into something else. They blew their shot. No reason at all it should take 6 months to release a ladder. Just pure incompetence.

What they need to retain people is serious continuous updates. People can get this from other companies, GGG releases huge updates to poe every ~3 months. Riot is constantly releasing updates to their games. Blizzard has spent 6 months and hasnt accomplished anything, and the servers and lobby dont even work.

They needed to add new items, balance, content updates, rapid server optimization, improved social features that at least match D2L ffs, etc if they wanted retention and player-base growth. But this was just a nostalgia cash grab. Thats fine, I had a few months of fun and nostalgia with the new graphics and got my money’s worth. But no reason to keep playing at all.

I agree that ladder is taking too long to arrive, but I do think alot of people will come back when it gets here, myself included, because without it, there is nothing really to achieve except self-set goals.

Probably some people will but it will be a small fraction of the release pop. And it didn’t have to be, if they released it 1-2 months after release while everyone was still around and starting to run out of goals you could retain many of those people. Many people when they leave are gone forever. But their business strategy clearly isnt built to retain anyone long-term, its just to sell the box and do minimal cheap updates.

You could be right, but I suppose we will have to see when the patch gets here, ladder systems shouldn’t be that hard or lord to implement.

Respectfully I disagree. Just making the game fun and not a chore would bring a lot of people back.

I mean, it could, but that wouldn’t change the fact that they can’t see other players to play with. I want to play now, but can’t because of the lobby issues. Making the game more fun and less of a chore doesn’t change my desire to play the game.
